Was he almost back from injury (or still along way off)?
Suppose he'll miraculously become fit elsewhere...

Nicholson states he was fit, but they had told him he wouldn't play till the fa trophy game to ensure there would be no setbacks.

Wouldn't be in the least bit surprised to see him go to Barrow now then - great work and great reward for Gareth Law (our physio) given all the effort he has put in to try and get him back and fit to play! :@

So Transfer Window business so far is ....

IN'S : Ajala, Harrad, Blissett

OUT'S : Heslop, Briscoe, Fairhurst, ........

With still huge ???? over MacDonald and Marsh as well!!!

........ going well, isn't it????

There are exceptional circumstances here so before the masses burn the board to the stake the boy has had an awful personal tragedy in his life.So on this one please give the lad and the club a break. stephen

Getting rid of every big earner before we're relegated. If we are still going next year our already minuscule budget needs slashing even more so no surprise. Likes of Angus, Young, Butler will all go as well.

Fair enough Steve, obviously only those who are close to the club and/or player will, quite rightly, be aware of the reasons behind this decision and I take back what I said on an earlier post - it should perhaps be made clear, without going into personal detail obviously, that there are extenuating personal circumstances behind this decision and that it is NOT just another cost cutting exercise as has been suggested elsewhere (Wiki).

As it is free to publically edit I have updated his wiki page now to take out that insinuation. Hopefully it will remain that way!

It's all gone a bit mental hasn't it? I can see the sense in letting a couple of players go to free up funds for new signings but with outgoings vs incomings currently a net decrease in playing staff and a couple more looking to go (apparently) where's it all going to end?

Is Hurst coming back from loan at Guiseley a possibility?

Considering there was a game not so long again when there weren't enough fit players to fill the bench, how is it looking for Saturday?

Hurst is gone for good. Deal done permanently a few weeks back. Think we got a little fee for him as well.

Ah right, missed that, thanks.

Looking a bit thin on the ground isn't it?

Two more out the door then today. We seem quite happy to let players go before bringing in anyone new. The trouble with this is that we're now 10 points from safety and games are running out. Without the two postponements we'd have even fewer games remaining and we're still letting players go and looking to bring people in.

Without some magic in the next few days we're all but gone, as from here on we need to maintain play-off form for the next three months to stand any chance at all.

Fairhurst was a good signing on paper but it's been a horrible spell all round and a total waste of what was our biggest summer signing.

Hopefully some good news appears soon, otherwise this is all very depressing.
