Checked the stats and found no record of goalkeeper Peter Wakeham making any appearances for England at full international level.

Well, the question asked was "international". Wakeham was selected for either Under-21 or England B, I forget which.

Tony Currie, England
Steve Bould, England
Keith Curle, England
Lee Sharpe, England
Ken Brown, England
Chris Waddle, England
Matthew Elliott, Scotland
Bruce Rioch, Scotland
Neville Southall, Wales
Jamie Ward, Northern Ireland
Alan Lee, Republic of Ireland
Alan McLoughlin, Republic of Ireland
Rodney Jack, St Vincent
Gregory Goodridge, Barbados
Tony Bedeau, Grenada
Jason Roberts, Grenada
Taiwo Atieno, Kenya
Mo Camara, Guinea
Ivar Ingimarsson, Iceland
Colin Walker, New Zealand
Juergen Sommer, United States

If I'm not mistaken, all the above have been capped at FULL international level. I've kept in the spirit of things and named only full internationals.

Many thanks everyone. I started thinking about this after seeing Tony Currie featured in the Sheff Utd programme last week and I think this is the definitive answer with your help on here, with 52 Torquay players having gained full international honours, including 14 for England. I've added international appearance, international goals, Torquay appearances and Torquay goals next to each name.

Correct. Was the 1990-91 season, and was known as the Leyland DAF Cup\Trophy. He made a sub appearance.
