[OS] United Line Up Two Friendlies

Preparations for United’s 2024/25 campaign have taken another step forward, with the club announcing its first two scheduled pre-season friendlies. The Gulls are set to begin their warm-up campaign on Friday 12th July by making the short journey to Newton Abbot to take on Buckland Athletic, with the match at Homers Heath scheduled for a 7.30pm kick-off. Dan Hart’s Buckland side will also be looking forward to the new season, and will be looking to go one step further next term, with their 6th-place standing seeing them narrowly miss out on the Toolstation Western League Play-Offs by just one place. Meanwhile, Tuesday, 30th July will also be another summer date for the Yellow Army to put in their calendar, as United play host to League One Exeter City at Plainmoor (7.30pm kick-off). Despite losing out to Torquay in last summer’s friendly clash, The Grecians went on to enjoy a superb finale to 2023/24, with Gary Caldwell’s men suffering just one defeat in their final ten outings on their way to a highly-respectable 13th place finish.
