No, he took another comment as an insult whereas actually he just misunderstood an intended joke. He has tonsilitis again at the time, might have made him more sensitive. I miss him too, it's way too quiet !!!! He knows that a lot of people appreciate his wackiness so I'm still hoping hat he'll be back!

Bixie, as entertaining as Andy can be, he is incredibly immature for a grown man.

He started a thread about which grounds you drive past, one of our American friends (USA Mitchigan possibly) wrote " this thread sucks for me". Interpreted as intended, this is clearly a joke, about him living abroad where there aren't a great deal of stadiums. Interpreted as an insult, its a pretty rubbish insult. Either way, Andy went nuts, and left.

If that can send you nuts, its probably best for you health that you don't post on a forum.

I also looked through a selection of his previous matchday threads looking for this vitriol he had had to put up with. It doesn't exist.

wow, that does seem pretty innocuous?? pain does strange things to a persons temperament, and if, as reported, he had swollen tonsils, added to his usual woes, i can understand how sensitive he could be. just look at yr mrs every month and see what the curious cocktail of discomfort and hormones can do to them for a marker.

i hope he comes back a bit tougher next time, but i really hope he changes his mind as his posts are always interesting, funny and thought provoking

What seemed to flip him out was someone posting ''tl;dr'' with a smilie. It was blantantly a joke. I like Andy as a poster but if little things like that send him flying off the handle, then he really needs to steer clear of forums, especially when he leaves himself so naturally open with his posting style.

Andy is and will be missed. I hope he finds his health and returns and can find a way to deal with any of his personal demons or trolls which on occasions have targeted him. On this occasion it was a completely innocent post which has been misinterpreted and pushed him to withdrawing.

Andy reminds me of a cartoon character called 'Stressed Eric' and when he has had rants in the past I always somehow visualise him as Eric!

Anyway - hope he returns and we can all move on.

I have had a look at the thread where he 'quit' and clearly usamichagan has launched into some unprovoked, foul mouth tirade against him and he has not quite recovered.

Anyways I clicked on his account and it says the user does not exist, so looks like he has gone for good.
Hopefully he will be back once michigan has been moved to death row*.

I have met Andy, found him to be totaly pleasent and a top bloke, I know others on here have also met Andy. I do not understand why he quit this time to be honest, I am contact with Andy and have helped along with others to get him back on the site before.

Will get in touch soon andy if your reading this, however my advice this time for him will be have a break from it and come back when he is ready to face one and all.

Me and Andy have a couple of ding dongs but I have always taking them as banter. At least one time he lost it and was very insulting towards me, it didn't bother me and later he apologized. I have no personal issue with Andy but he leaves himself wide open. He starts having banter with people but slowly starts to lose it until he explodes and then thinks everyone is against him. My comment about the grounds was purely tongue in cheek and he takes it the wrong way because he is in meltdown. He also been abusive to few others for no reason really.

I like "most" of Andy's posts but considering this a forum and opinions are indifferent maybe online forums are not the best place for him.
