... Morecombe (at Accrington Friday night), Wycombe (home to Aldershot), Northampton (home to York), Exeter (at Wimbledon) and Burton (home to Plymouth).
Whilst League 2 survival remains in our own hands it's about time other results started going for us. Could this weekend be the one?
Realistically Morecombe not that good away, Aldershot seem to have found some form, Northampton should be too strong for York and want an automatic promotion place, Exeter need to rediscover their form or the play-offs will disappear and Burton want to stay in the top three.
There's a lot riding on this weekend at the top and bottom.
As for Torquay I'm clinging on to THAT last day survival win at Barnet in 2001 as an omen. We can do it!
Accy will beat Morecambe, Aldershot to edge it, York no chance, Wimbledon to win and Plymouth no chance either so a mixed bag but one which would see us second bottom come 5 pm saturday should we not beat Barnet.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
I think we are in mad crystal ball land here. None of those results are really predictable at this stage of the season. We can hope for a good set of results in other games, but above all we MUST beat Barnet!
It's down to us this, we must win on saturday that. WE KNOW ALL THAT! THIS THREAD IS ABOUT WHAT WE THINK OTHER TEAMS WILL DO THIS WEEKEND NOT WHAT WE WILL DO. JESUS!! NICK IS ASKING OUR OPINIONS ON THAT AND NOT OUR GAME!!! UNBELIEVEABLE!!!

I'ts all going to come down to us and what we can do...All the times that we have relied on other results have not come about...Remember the talk you gave to me about York Andy !!!
Everyone else is fighting, we need to join them....And if we don't win on Saturday, we are going down despite the 'straw grabbers' hopes !

Can we come up with any more of these types of phrases like STRAW GRABBERS and HAPPY CLAPPERS ?
How about LAST CHANCE SALOONERS or RAINBOW CHASERS?

For fox sake calm down. I think most people won't want to tempt fate by predicting results this weekend. You predicted that Port Vale would beat Aldershot only two days ago, and look what happened there!! I would love to think that teams like Exeter, Burton and Northampton would remember that they have a play off or promotion place to aim for this weekend, but the past couple of weeks has put paid to my belief in ANY team doing us ANY favours at all.
There are four teams (apart from those in the sh*t) that will have a critical say in how things turn out over the next two and a bit weeks, that is Dagenham, Wycombe, Northampton and Rotherham. All of these play two relegation threatened teams. Do I have faith that any of these will do the decent thing? No, I don't, and that is why I believe that it is up to us, just us.
I appreciate your reply GITP and yes, i am shocking at predicting results and there will be results between now and the end of the season that none of see coming but that is what the thread is about. It's asking us our predictions on the games themselves and i've given mine. We all know that funny results happen and if we win our games we'll be fine but the thread isn't about that. It's like if i posted a thread about which teams we would want to play if we dropped into the conference and people will no doubt post things like "we're not down yet" or "we can still stay up so don't see the point in the thread". I am asking a direct question about peoples opinions on who they would like to play and nothing to do with those remarks. I could predict one thing accurately though, there is no way in hell we could have gone to Vale Park and got a draw now like Aldershot did and they are rock bottom! That's why we are going down i'm afraid.

All I will say is that I really hope that Morecambe will start our weekend with a swing tomorrow night by winning at Accrington. I won't predict this though, just hope it. I have, however, written ACCRINGTON on a cuddy toy and have stuck several pins in it in the hope that black magic works.
Thing is, as it stands right now with Aldershot 1pt behind and with a game in hand, league survival is 'not' in our hands, the only way it can be back in our own hands is if we beat Barnet, even a draw will not do.
So yes other results are important, but so is us being united and getting out in large numbers supporting our team from the off, Saturday is huge.
