Thanks, didn't realise it was word for word the lyrics! How did it get started in the first place?brooker wrote: ↑15 Mar 2019, 21:24 Don't worry about a thing,
Cause every little thing gonna be all right.
Singin: don't worry about a thing,
Cause every little thing gonna be all right!
Woke up this mornin,
Smiled with the risin sun,
Three little birds
Sat by my doorstep
Singin sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin, (this is my message to you-ou-ou:)

Not sure really, but it seemed a fitting song for bleak, bleak times. It is a decent chant, and I actually quite like the phone waving too!

Here's a long-forgotten chant, which occurred when David Graham was at the height of his (local) fame:
Are you watching?
Are you watching?
Are you watching BERTIE VOGTS?
Are you wa-a-a-tching
BERTIE VOGTS?
Are you watching?
Are you watching?
Are you watching BERTIE VOGTS?
Are you wa-a-a-tching
BERTIE VOGTS?

What about this?
Woke up this morning feeling fine,
Got TUFC on my mind,
We're going straight back up like we knew we would,
Oh yeah,
Something tells me I'm into something good...
1, 2, 3, 4,
*Repeat*

There's a star-man, playing on the right,
his name is Ruairi Keating and he's f***ing dynamite!

I'm 30 and I remember the 'know we are singing' from early 2000s. I always thought it was 'give us a goal while we are singing'.
Anyone remember the goodbye horse chant. I never really understood what that was about. 'As I was saying goodbye to my horse I was saying goodbye to my horse'.
I used to like the Bayo Akinfenwa chant to the tune of 'do the conga'

The one that always made me chuckle at home matches was 'You Fat Bastard', repeated several times and VERY loudly. Usually directed at Steve Evans who has managed several clubs in his career (I think he was with Crawley at ther time). Not the most imaginative of chants I grant you but Evans always took it in good heart and it actually seemed to fire him up. The other was 'Can you hear Woking sing, I can't hear a f***** thing' - we may possibly be hearing that one again next season.
I like that a lot.GoodringtonGull wrote: ↑17 Apr 2019, 12:05 to the tune of David Bowie Starman:

You know what,,,,
Tomorrow is historic,
How about, to make the team feel extra special, because they are the history makers (since 1927 at least)
2:55 tomorrow
Yellow army in unison, until they appear,
BRING ON THE CHAMPIONS!.
Because you are part of that history too!

HNY fellow yellows! The atmosphere has been brilliant lately! Does anyone know if the 3 little birds chant was just a flash in the pan? Always thought that one was a good chant
