Speculation on Alan Merson's site that it is an ex-Wales international, recently released by Crystal Palace.

i originally thought about that same ex Welsh international, as he was also at loan at Mansfield, I didn't know he'd been mentioned on another forum. I guess it's possible, I just thought the wage drop for a guy on a 3 year contract at Crystal Palace down to us would be way too big.

pidgeley would be a good signing, along with dan lavercombe we would have two decent keepers. renee howe anyone? would be good at this level along side bowman, big strong player and he is a free agent.wages maybe a problem.

Are we not mentioning his name? Anyway, I would be astonished and delighted if we were to sign him. He has had more than his fair share of injuries over the years but is definitely IMHO far too good for the conference. At 31 he is in his prime as a goalkeeper.
Perfect player for Lavercombe, good enough to learn from and injury prone enough to give him plenty of game time.

I take it the Goalkeeper we are talking about is Lewis Price? Would be a great signing if we could get him. Fits the bill for what we need nicely. Wages maybe an issue however.

Not tall enough and his previous form in front of goal is woeful. Sign him up...

If we got LP in then well done Paul Cox, exactly what Torquay and Dan Lavercombe need.

Jason Banton would be a very decent signing I think.

Yes he would but surely way out of our league. Given our financial constraints I would be very surprised if we were signing players like Banton.

Dan Lavercombe needs to play he will only learn by playing the coaching helps but experience of games under his belt is important as he is good enough.

John Campbell would be a good start. I think he could develop into a decent player.
