According to whom? Any links?
There was always the possibility that someone would have to go out to free up some money, but Bowman Gateshead on loan seems a tad strange to me, especially after PC was talking about a Bowman/Marsh partnership, why sign Fairhurst , just to then let Bowman go, pretty much a like for like swap to me, can't imagine Fairhurst comes that much cheaper.
Of course bowman could be homesick, but, why did he apparently sign himself up along with Briscoe to a short summer training camp to make sure he return fit, guess time will tell on this one.

Massive error, if true. Proved can get high teens in Average sides (here and Hereford), is still young and maturing so has potential to get better. Didn't see many better than him in conference last year.

Was hoping he would do so damage next season sad if true
This was not expected, but personally I am not over surprised. It was rumoured that he wanted away at the end of last season and there was even a query on here about how Bowman would get on under Paul Cox's reputed style of no nonsense management. He is one of football's nomads - never stays at a club for very long. Yes, he will get a few goals for whichever club he plays for but he is a mouthy individual who spends a lot of time in matches scowling at or berating team mates. In my opinion, he is not a team player and I suspect Cox and the new assistant have picked up on this.

Seem to remember when Radio Devon played a game of 'should he stay or should he go?' (with appropriate background music!) Steve Breed, who was playing along, when asked about Bowman replied "get rid".
If true not clever, not clever at all.

I think you might be right, but have this feeling he might net a few for whoever he goes to. He did well to get 19 or whatever it was last season, I saw him get a couple of those but in reality he never much looked like scoring to me. Big decision for PC to make.dannyrvtufc4life wrote:Good news if true.
Would be disappointing to see Bowman leave, with a target man to play off I am sure he could easily manage 20+ goals a season at this level. Hell, he racked up nearly that in our slapstick team last season! But, if his attitude isn't in line with the new boss then off he must go. We need cohesion and solidarity going forward, dissenting voices cannot be tolerated!!
I know he scored goals for us last year but don't think he had the workrate. He never seem to chase the ball down and seemed lazy.
Also had an attitude problem. Time he got sent for the headbutt and we drew that game. The time he scored a penalty and then decided to throw the ball at the keeper to rub it in.
Thankyou for the goals but Cox obviously sees he hasn't got the hunger to want him in the side.

Massive shock if true. Maybe he is not a great "Team Player", but without him where are the goals coming from?
Its goals that get points.
