6 Players Listed
6 Players Listed
CH has transfer listed 6 players, Dale Tonge, Karl Hawley, Nathan Craig, Jordan Chapell, Aaron Downes and Shaun Cooper. The only players I wouldn't have on there are Chapell and Downes. Other than that, give the rest of them away.

Sadly, that means Benyon looks set to stay.
No Benyon?

Obviously in CH's plans, how long is left on his current contract?

Genuinely don't quite get CH's apparent dislike (as a player) of Downes. I still think Craig has a lot of potential in the rights hands, too.

No huge shocks perhaps with the exception of Benyon not being on the list. Wouldn't have minded Downes and Chapell staying but they haven't figured in Hargreaves' plans.
I didn't realise Craig and Cooper were contracted beyond this summer? I knew Cooper had an option to extend his deal but surely he hasn't been able to exercise that given he's not kicked a ball for us? What a disastrous signing and waste of money he's been.

He has a great left foot, and a good head on him, but he was out of favour through AK and now CH. No loss I don't think.divingbboy wrote:Genuinely don't quite get CH's apparent dislike (as a player) of Downes. I still think Craig has a lot of potential in the rights hands, too.

Tonge and Hawley I'd give away for a packet of hob nobs, just getting them off our wage bill will be a bonus.

Another poster on here suggested Tonge was off to Hartlepool. I think we might struggle to offload Hawley and Cooper as they will be on decent wages and are injured. I imagine Downes and Chapell will be snapped up - the latter could follow Knill to Northampton. Craig will do well to get fixed up with a full-time club but I wish him the best. He's always come across as a decent bloke.
I would buy a case of hob nobs for anyone willing to take them!sam_ wrote:Tonge and Hawley I'd give away for a packet of hob nobs, just getting them off our wage bill will be a bonus.

You obviously don't value your Hobnobs. I would thought that a packet of Sainsbury's value Rich Teas is more like it. A half packet.sam_ wrote:Tonge and Hawley I'd give away for a packet of hob nobs, just getting them off our wage bill will be a bonus.
I would have written biscits, but I can't spell it, so I stick with hobnobs
