It's likely quite a few supporters will decide to be part-time

Dear me
These threads are so infuriating
Why is that torquay 'fans' like to belittle their own club?

Yes cut backs
Cut backs to the useless players we have as I noted on another thread the release of deadwood like manse/Nicho and poke could save about 200k a year on wages, there's plenty of areas we could cut before the nonsense of part time!

The crowds are going to be 'p' poor next season. How many times has the away end been closed this season? It certainly won't be open at all next season.
What crowds are board going to bank on next season. This is not belittling in any way just facts.
You mentioned crowds, that will be interesting
A team playing well and winning games at the right end of te table will get us a decent home crowd no matter what division it is! We have showed despite winning 3 odd games we still has a core 1500-2000 people turning up each week
Also
Hoping to hear the news of BT sport taking over the whole conference sponsorship soon, expect to see a much bigger TV coverage next season

Yes thats about the crux of it. If we are top of the league the crowds won't be any lower than this season thats almost guaranteed. However if we are stagnating around lower mid table then we see a big drop.

If the Board are happy to fund full time football, then great.
What must absolutely NOT happen is that the club spends money it can't afford "chasing the dream". There is a frightening list of ex-league clubs that have gone out of business trying to do this in the Conference and Hereford United are borderline at the moment. I would rather we were part time than out of business. By the way, several part time clubs have done very well this season - Braintree, Alfreton, Nuneaton (until their manager went to Wrexham).

When the likes of Gateshead, Southport and others are full time on sub-1000 gates, I see this is an absolute non-discussion. We will be full time next year regardless.
What that will actually look like, I'm not so sure. My expectation is that - if anyone on the board has any sense - we will cut our cloth accordingly and line up with a selection of young throw-outs from other teams, perhaps a couple of unknown foreign/previously foreign based players, and a couple of washed up ex-league players.
We need to cut costs and steady the ship for the next couple of years. I for one won't be putting any expectation on CH to take us back up next season.

Well that was his brief when he took the job. As he keeps saying he was told, "Keep us up, or get us back up". He singularly failed in the first objective which was the easier option of the two as we were only one point adrift when he took over with half a season to go, but he has managed to get us 8 points adrift with 3 games to go. So how much confidence would I have in him achieving his second objective? I suppose little. He keeps saying (when he used to actually do press interviews) that he doesn't look at the league table. Well a glance may have focussed his mind that things weren't going too well!! He got the job by publicly campaining on BBC Spotlight, and they are absolutely furious with his current stance regarding post match press interviews. Mind you if all we get is "I never look at the league table" and "we played well but it didn't go or us today", I suppose that silence really is golden!

I don't see that as another excuse to CH bash - my expectation would be the same whoever was in charge.
It was my expectation last time we got relegated to the Conf - I was staggered that the new board invested so much in the playing squad at that time but clearly long term it didn't pay dividends.
We've been a conference "club" in all but league position since the year we were in League 1 (apart from, obviously, the years we were in the conference), and it's about time the club stabilised and settled into the new surroundings.
It's sounds ridiculously pessimistic, but mid-table obscurity will do me fine for a couple of seasons.

I concur....very accurate from start to finish!
