Interesting if a rather sad read, funnily enough I had been thinking about Danny after I saw him at the Southend game recently. It's disappointing he has not been able to find himself a club at least at Conference level. I know he wasn't everyone's cup of tea here (although some of the criticism I read and witnessed at games was a disgrace) but I personally thought he always gave 100%, there's no doubt he made a big contribution to our return to league football. He could most certainly do a job somewhere else although as he says in the article there are practical and financial constraints playing the game at this level which perhaps there aren't further up the pyramid.

All the best to Danny whether or not he returns to the game. He will always get a warm welcome from me at Plainmoor for being part of that historic team!

It's amazing that he hasn't found another club. I wish him all the best in the future.

Very good PR on his behalf before January window opens. All the best to him, always came across as a top bloke.

I cant help think the first season under Ling was his "golden summer" to use a cliche.
I quite like the guy so it's suprising to see he only had 15 starts in our promotion season (strangely enough, less than TT) and not much more the following 2 seasons.

Thinking about it, Wayne had the right side pretty much nailed down so Danny had to scrap with Muzzy and the like for the other wide slot. He would surely have got a lot more games if it wasnt for Wayne.

Hope he gets fixed up in January but not sure he will.
