As you've probably seen Coventry City has been kicked out of their stadium once again by new owner Mike Ashley.

It got me thinking about us and our current situation regarding our football stadium and that could we at any point be kicked/evicted from Plainmoor leaving us in real jeopardy.

I know this would be unlikely but it's not impossible do we need to think about the realistic picture here?
Intrigued to know other people's thoughts on this matter please.

As far as I'm aware we have a fairly lengthy lease on Plainmoor, of course there maybe legal shenanigans the council could try if they ever wanted to evict us.
If we owned our own ground then we would be prey to property developers, just consider how many football clubs are actually owned by property developers.
So to honest we are probably in the most secure position we could be, ie in a council owned ground.

I think Plainmoor has a restrictive covenant on it from when the land was gifted by the Cary family and can only be used for leisure purposes. I think the previous ideas of moving to the Willows involved Plainmoor being used by Spires/Westlands, Quinta being developed for housing and this releasing the money to support a new ground.
