A train connecting Bulgaria's capital Sofia and Greece's port city of Thessaloniki began operating on Saturday 10 May.

Two second-class trains, one from Bulgaria and one from Greece, will travel daily between the two cities, according to a press release of the Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ) cited by Dnevnik.bg.

The seven-hour trip will also offer a connection to Greek capital Athens. Trains will set off from Sofia at 03:30 PM and will be in Thessaloniki in 10:22 PM. Those from Thessaloniki will depart at 06:55 AM to arrive at Bulgaria's capital at 01:45 PM.

A common single ticket will cost EUR 17.43 (BGN 34.86). That's cheap...!!

Twelve "discount" tickets will be available in each train for passengers who decide on a special two-way offer agreed between railway operators in Bulgaria and Greece. Reduced-price tickets (return included) are worth EUR 25 each. That's even cheaper...!!

By the way, Stolipinovo, Bulgaria, has been named the world's worst holiday destination. So that's probably very cheap too...!!

NEW EBOLA OUTBREAK THREATENS THE WORLD...!!!

NEW PLAGUE COULD DECIMATE POPULATIONS...!!!

EPIDEMIC IS OUT OF CONTROL...!!!

A new outbreak of the Ebola virus, which began in remote areas of Guinea a few months ago, has spread to more densely populated towns and cities, including the Liberian capital. The latest outbreak has already killed more people than any previous one, and now threatens to spread beyond West Africa.

Bart Janssens, the director of operations for the medical group Medicins sans Frontieres in Brussels, told The Associated Press on Friday: "The reality is clear that the epidemic is now in a second wave. And, for me, it is totally out of control."

The Ebola virus, which causes internal bleeding and organ failure, spreads through direct contact with infected people.

THERE IS NO CURE AND NO VACCINE.

If the disease spreads beyond West Africa into major world population centres, WE'RE ALL DOOMED (well, most of us)..!!

This article puts the recent murders of three Israeli teenagers and a Palestinian youth into some context, part of a long history of avoidable and unnecessary enmity between Israelis and Palestinians stretching back to the beginning of the modern state of Israel:
