Well, I guess Johnson won't be thumping his chest in front of the supporters like he did following the meaningless friendly win over Exeter City. Johnson is way past his best but why leave a club where the expectations of the owner and some of the fans are so low. Can wait for Dom's fawning after match interview. One things for sure, today's draw won't be Johnson's fault.

Can't help but feel disappointed with that result to be honest. We really should be beating teams like Dover, but this is Torquay we are talking about and we never do anything easy. That said I'm still optimistic for our season ahead despite todays start, i think we have a decent team for this level.

No team won away - we were one of two draws - and even Yeovil lost. Should we have won - yes! Should we panic -No! Let's just say we are unbeaten this season.

Judging purely by the commentary, first fifteen we were cruising , then they decided to play and just pumped balls over the top and our back three/four who struggled and thats complimentary. I agree with their commentators, on balance Dover shaded it, looking forwrd to johnsons post match, I admit its the first of the season against a part time set up with their centre backs meeting each other yesterday, but we should have done a lot better against a team widely quoted as being 24 out of 24.

Hope Johnson’s been working on his excuses over the summer. Would be good to have some new material this season.

Has to be said, personally don't give a flying monkeys how Yeovil are doing.

Normally wouldn't be to concerned about drawing 2.2 away on the first game, however Dover by they're own admission are likely to be still squad building well into the new season, and played today with a virtually new team.

They've totally out played us for 60 minutes, not good enough from us today, performances will need improve quickly.

Bruce, don't let this idiot get to you. I believe that they are the same person as Somerset Gull who was banned last season. I have notified administration .

I have to say to concede a 2 goal lead to a team that has been cobbled together at the last minute is deeply dissappointing.

Regan Charles Cook who scored Dovers equaliser was top scorer at Ross County in season 2021/22 in the Scottish Premier League.

How on earth did he end up at Dover via a team in Belgium I have never heard of.

It sounds like we got outplayed. Very concerning.

Seems like Deja vu.
Starting the season with only two strikers.
A defense that needs bolstering together with the midfield.
Asa Hall is 36 with no back up to rotate him when he should actually be the back up for rotation.
