Its a sad day and realistically I would say there is little chance of finding a new owner with the financial clout to finance the club.

However lets not pretend that this has anything to do with a "hate war" against Osbourne - that is just utter nonsense. This day was always going to come with an owner who hasnt got the slightest interest in football.

Otherwise what owner worth his salt would still employ Gary Johnson as manager?

We are likely going to get relegated. Players will no doubt leave. However I would say better to have no club at all than one with Osbourne, Edwards,Hayman and the leeches who have been at the helm. Good riddance to the lot of them.

Now johnson just needs to fk off. We have players id rather see managing the first team than this leech.

There were two possible outcomes, OC left after screwing the club and making a fortune or OC leaving with his tail between his legs and taking a hit in the pocket.

Neither was ever going to be good for the club, but I am bloody pleased it is the second of the two scenarios.

It’s been hard work recently and the work will only get harder, but should the worst happen and we end up as Torquay 24 or whatever, there is hope. Look at Aldershot many years ago when the original entity folded, they started in what was then the Ryman sponsored Isthmian League Div 3, in front of very big gates! Slowly but surely they climbed back up the pyramid.

If we did the same, the Western League would give local fixtures, easy away travel, good days out for the supporters if a winning run started, may be a feel good factor? Obviously not where we’d love our club to be, NL / L2, but may be again one day…

Nil sympathy for Osbourne, yes he’s put money in but only for his personal business interests! Had his new stadium plan actually been credible, the council may have engaged with him! Had he ever engaged with us, may be (just may be) there would have been a better feeling around the club!

As posted above, NO club at level or in any sport should have anything to do with him!

I actually feel physically sick at this news.

Yes, we all knew it would happen one day as there was no way Osborne was going to get his hands on Plainmoor.

Time to all pull together, show any potential buyer that they'd have a club to be proud of (and a fanbase that loves the club) and if none is forthcoming then it's time to get behind TUST and ALL join together and get this club off its knees, back on its feet and to start enjoying football again... whatever level we find ourselves at.

Writing was on the wall when we first got relegated to NLS and lets be honest, we have had our fair share of close calls over the past 30 years.

Unlikely we will find anyone willing to take us on as a full-time outfit even if debts were to be written off.

We're now in a battle to retain our place in NLS with players likely to leave, we'd be lucky to get some youth loans from Plymouth/Exeter for the rest of the season.

With a 1500-2000 base support, we'd be in a good position under a clean slate even if it means relocating training nearer Bristol.

Who are famous/wealthy people from the area?

One person who comes to mind is Ollie Watkins. Not sure he could realistically get involved with his career as a player being the focus but he certainly has money, connections, and a brilliant attitude.

Wow nasty Clarke has gone after putting £5 million into the club but he is not a fotball fan ?!! And now people are getting excited that we will soon be playing Exmouth and Brixham can’t wait. My first match was home to Crystal Palace, how times have changed.

With a relegation battle looming it's a good job we haven't got a team that capitulate's on every difficult game.

What a great idea, look what he did for truro,another one with big ideas but no money of his own, we have been down that route already with the phillips debacle, only thing worse would be to bring back edwards.

I echo the comments already made about a points reduction being the least of our worries. Unless Osborne writes-off the debt the club owes to him, it's difficult to see how a consortium could get the club back on its feet: they'd need to invest £5m just to pay off the existing debt, and that's without even setting aside finances to keep the club operating in the medium-to-long term.
