Unfortunately the club can't just bring Boots back under their stewardship as there is a legal agreement with the person currently running it. I believe they have said that they would like to do this as soon as possible though.

Back in the day the club lottery was "the only show in town". Now you would compete with the National Lottery and scratchcards. And there is now also a very successful local lottery raising funds for Rowcroft which I'm sure we would all agree is a much more worthwhile cause, so people aren't going to switch to a TUFC one.

What about putting some live music on before/after games in B&L? People I know that go to the Rugby at Exeter say that they mainly go for the piss up and the entertainment than the rugby itself. Get the players in early for autographs etc. Make a visit to Plainmoor a day out rather than just two hours of misery.

Bring back the kids playing at half time, that was excellent and must have brought a fair number of parents in.

Cheerleaders? I don't like it much but could bring in a few. Seems to work at Palace.

Shuttle buses from Newton Abbott and town would definitely work. £15 with the bus ride and maybe a free programme/pasty would bring people in.

As others have said give a couple of hundred tickets free to under 16s and give their parents a discount if they come with them. Fill up the family stand and give them something to cheer with some decent football.

Overall we just need the quality of the football and the results to improve. Chicken and egg I guess.

A sponsored walk along the new kingskerswell bypass before it officially opens.if we could get 500 yellow shirts walking with each raising approx £20 that would be 10 grand.extra publicity like that might also encourage a few extra on matchdays

That is a very good idea. It's thinking 'outside the box' as they say. I don't know who would arrange it or if the construction company would agree to it (there's already been one 'Bypass Walk' in aid of Macmillan Nurses). 500 raising twenty quid each might be a tad optimistic but whatever was raised, it would be a great community event and show that we really care about our club. I'd also do it.

Couple of ideas from me:

1. Let people in at half-time to watch the second-half only for a reduced fee - this could be attractive for local people who a) can't afford the full price but still want to watch some of the game b) people who can't be there at kick-off for what-ever reason. Not sure if this is done elsewhere; it might not make a huge amount of additional income, but every penny counts, right?

2. Post a video of every goal on youtube or the website so they can be viewed for free after each game. I think this is an important tool to engage people with, especially those who don't/can't make every game.

.......... can only endure half the pain.

^ like this idea. One match last season I was hurtling back from Heathrow & only arrived at half time (might not have bothered if I wasn't a ST holder); had a lot of trouble getting in, had to 'be identified' & escorted in by a steward through Reception. It would muck up the gate count though I expect !

How about switching home games to a Friday or Saturday night instead of 3pm on a Saturday?

I'd be interested to know how many ST holders come from outside of Devon to guage how many this would affect.
