I have said this before when the topic come up a few months ago....... just play the goal celebration music in the away end, being they will be stood there in silence so we can rub it in that little bit more. Just loud enough they can hear it, but not us. Ideally Song2 by Blur please.

For this to work, the whole ground needs to remain eerily silent, then just play Song2 at 'Terry Wogan over the breakfast table' volume. The riots would be bloody, but very very funny.

I have just emailed the club, goal music is pathetic and there is no place for it in football, email the club along with me, we will be a laughing stock if it happens again

So, which team is everyone going to support now then? I'm not sure whether I should go with Aberdeen as they're my new local team, or pick one out of a hat?

Ferrari lover
Interestingly, when this EXACT question was posed by Simon Baker at the Fans Forum, the reply was a resounding YES! Of the 50 or so in the audience, I was the only one who dissented and said no
Let's hope the FF49 are proud of themselves.

Ferrari I think you should try hard to recall the names of some of the nodding numpties who are clearly in part responsible for this as I feel a list of shame needs to be compiled.

Can't believe we actually played goal music, especially something as passé as 'Chelsea Dagger'.

The only way I'd accept music after a goal is if for a laugh we had one of those ice hockey horns at the beginning of it.

Something like this perhaps:

Glad you sent an email BY and totally agree with what you have posted. Don't know if anyone at the Club reads this forum, so please, please everyone who opposes this 'celebration' make sure you rattle off an email as soon as possible.

To be honest it was a fairly lame attempt at it really you could barely hear it (Or am I going deaf ;-)).

Still I'd rather we didnt attempt it again..

It's not the Club's fault - they listened to and probably acted on the general consensus at the recent forum. So, we need at least 50 of us to say no thank you. Couldn't be easier, here...

Dear thingummy off the Popside.

We may be small, we may be underfunded, we may be quiet at times and underwhelmed with some of our tactics and performances.

But please don t take away our dignity.
