I've gone for OTHER.

Paul Hart would do for me although if everybody is so keen on bringing Rioch back into the fold, why don't they go for Colin Todd to work under him? They've done it before.

He's achieved more as a manager than all the other "local" candidates put together.

His recent jobs haven't been the wisest moves, granted.

Hargreaves for me. Great bloke with a genuine passion for the club. At the back down wembley way meal late this season, he was asked whether he'd consider the job. He replied by saying something like 'Buckle's done a great job'. But after he said he would of course love to one day.

Ian Rush a possibility? Inexperienced at managerial level i know, but he's only 49. Managed Chester City 04-05 but resigned.

Thoughts?

John Barnes, possibly the worst player to wear a Liverpool shirt, of course after Salif Diao.

I'm no fan of Liverpool but it's fair to say that wouldn't be a popular opinion on Merseyside. Terrible manager, great player.

I have a lot of love for Leroy after the good times he gave us - and his style would prob suit the current bunch. However I'm wary of appointing a manager based on past sentiment, especially as he inhertied the squad, and not sure where he stands with the 10 minute saga.

From those listed above i've gone for Trollope for his recent experience.

Theres no chance Leroy will come back. If the board sacked him after ten minites last time he wont even be considered this time.

They sacked him last time because the new board wanted to distance themselves from the previous regime. It doesn't necessarily mean they wouldn't think him a good candidate this time. That's not to say i think he's in the frame, he has a new career now.
