So who will be relegated?

We are going down but I am increasingly hopeful that we might be able to drag Exeter down with us. Relegation would almost be palatable if they came down as well.

Looking at the Conference league table, it seems ridiculous that we could be a division below Alfreton Town next season...or even Nuneaton Town, a Phoenix club, who weren't even very good before they folded. Embarrassing.

indeed we are hector.

with regard to alfreton, they have worked hard to get where they are - although I agree about nuneaton - another histon....

you have to take into account that half of the teams now in the conference have been league clubs, and dont forget the darlingtons and stockports of this world..........crikey.

frightening it sure is.

and to think posters ridiculed me about my happiness- if it were to have happened from 2013 of "20 yrs of league 2 football"

I bet they'd take it right now...

Exe Web posters are convinced the Greeks are going down and are lambasting Tisdale (and to a certain extent the Trust owners) for the state they're in.

Of course they're whining. Theres nowt as fickle as footie fans. Tisdale was also getting lambasted a couple of seasons ago for looking like getting relegated from L1, when they just stayed up on the last couple of matches. All fans start looking for someone to blame when things dont go well.

Exeter and Portsmouth.

Mansfield now on the subs bench sitting alongside Wycombe.

No good looking at other results. Requirement tomorrow Torquay United 3 Bury 0. A repeat of the famous BBC Match of the Day game in 1968 when we were both battling it out for promotion from what is now League1.

Had a good look at the Skrill Conference Premier table yesterday and don't fancy it .... so got to kick on starting tomorrow! :scarf:

I think you've maybe got one right and one wrong Stefano. I will leave you to guess who I think the second team going down is ..... I felt we needed 11 points minimum from the current five games (Fleetwood, Rochdale, Cheltenham, Bury and Newport - four at home). So far, we've got 3 points from 3 of those games. Wins tomorrow night and Saturday are vital otherwise we can almost certainly say Good night, Football League. As a crumb of hope, I see that Newport are playing Dagenham on THURSDAY night. Rene will be too knackered to play two matches in three days and let's hope other Newport players will tire on Saturday.

Only someone with the mind of a mad man would dispute our position, we're in big trouble, and have a mountain to climb, but, and there is a but here, Bury and Newport home this week, both in very poor current form. With out a shadow of doubt, the team must win both these games, and if that happens, well, could be game on , failure to do so and it really is over, if it isn't already.

As for who's coming with us, just had a brief skim through some other teams remaining fixtures, boy, are the greeks in big trouble, they have a nightmare run in, would love it if they went down, after some of the grief those arrogant tossers have chucked our way.

we can stay up , if we win 6 from 10 but we must beat Exeter and Wycombe last game , if so I think Wycombe will go down they have very difficult fixtures and I think it is us or Exeter .

Wycombe have very difficult fixtures? I've just looked at our remaining fixtures and every single game is against a team above us in the league. How unlucky is that for a run in? ;-)

I don't doubt that Alfreton Town have worked very hard. A tremendous achievement for such a small club with forwards we would kill for. I don't know the story behind them, whether there is lots of money being pumped in but it would seem bizarre to see them in the league, a division above us.
