'He shouldn't allow his enthusiasm to take wing'. Rubbish, Candy. That's exactly what he ought to do. A mascot is far more than a children's entertainer. He is a rebel, a magician, an illusionist, a fairground barker, a remembrancer of forgotten things, a skypilot, a steam engine driver, a pig's bladder and, more than anything else, a destroyer of pomposity.
Remain by the Family Stand, indeed! No - set GILBERT free!

Only at Torquay!

Still (went about very much the wrong way and in no way condoning his/her actions!) but at least Gilbert showed some passion and cares about the club.

It seems frustration surrounds the club currently (with fans, players and mascots!). No a healthy environment.

Less respect for him after this:

I am sure the club are going to love the interview he (Steve) has given here!

Ahahahahahahahahaha, this is so tin pot it's untrue. Fans arguing with their own giant seagull mascot. Is it a Torquay thing? Do they put mercury in the water down here? The number of complete retards we've got down here is staggering.

Matt.

Precisely. Imagine arguing with a bloke in a bird costume because he asked the whereabouts of a geezer with a drum. It beggars belief. Torquay, 300,000 inhabitants, 3 surnames between the lot of them.

Matt.

What disgraceful behaviour.

Maybe a bit of huffing and PUFFIN over nothing but I hope he ran out of PETREL on the way home and didn't get a SHAG that night. :~D

Right now. Birmingham City would be interested in signing me. My mum and dad. despite me being disabled and my parents being 6ft under. And we would probably play better too.

If you want to hunt for it, it's towards the end of the show.

Good old GILBERT!
He is definitely in the TUFC all-time TOP TEN, after Robin, John Smith, Tommy N, Lors, Terry Adlington et al...
