It was my expectation last time we got relegated to the Conf - I was staggered that the new board invested so much in the playing squad at that time but clearly long term it didn't pay dividends.
We've been a conference "club" in all but league position since the year we were in League 1 (apart from, obviously, the years we were in the conference), and it's about time the club stabilised and settled into the new surroundings.
It's sounds ridiculously pessimistic, but mid-table obscurity will do me fine for a couple of seasons.
You introduced CH to the debate not me and if you meant 'anybody' why did you not say so?
CH had a brief. He has failed on objective one and if you think he will achieve on objective two then you are a real optimist, although clearly from what you said you don't think he will achieve on objective two. In most jobs if senior managers do not achieve the performance targets they were set on appointment their services are dispensed with.
When things come to light in a few weeks time we will all have a lot more to be concerned about, or of course just forget all about it and start supporting Exeter Chiefs or as I have been doing (and enjoying) Ivybridge Town

I have clearly stated I don't expect him to achieve "objective two", numerous times in fact. So quite why it's worth suggesting I'd be an optimist for thinking he would is absolutely baffling.
Clearly, CH has failed to deliver objective one but he was not alone in that. I won't care to try and proportion blame to Knill, CH and the board but all of them are to blame in some quantity.
For me, objective two is to now stabilise the club. If we are in the bottom 6 of the Conf come November then I will be amongst the first of those calling for CH's head but until then, whatever will be will be.

Stefano, you're not the first to hint that another s**tstorm is around the corner, so how worried should we all be on a scale of 1-10?

I think this is fair Jeff and a sensible assessment of what fans should expect. Get the club back on an even keel with some fairly positive football if possible and try and get some wins and some momentum. If we plateau in mid table but have seen signs of progression and some fairly decent football then that would be perfectly acceptable and I would consider it a good job done all things considered. I think what most fans are hoping for is a more adventurous approach to games now as we've had 3 seasons of total permanent boredom with no respite. Fans want entertainment as well and although it is important to remember that this is a critical season I also think the standard of football must improve. If it does and we don't do that great then I still think more fans will go through the gates.
