I nearly forgot about the standard of referring. This is when the worst nightmare becomes reality as NLS referees play a part in a starring role. Admittedly, it is a stepping stone for most of them, nonetheless, at this level most of them still don't know the game. I fear next season they will be the most scrutinised and criticised members in our games. Although they have no fans, expect them to receive the most verbal abuse. For the nominal match fee they receive we cannot expect them to be prefect, so the best we can hope for is none of them turn up wanting to be a rockstar and take centre stage.

Tonbridge, Maidstone, Eastbourne, Aveley, Slough, Worthing and Havant definitely do.

We are not way off a capable squad. Midfield is sorted. Up front fine. 2 decent wingers one of which can play up top. Good keeper, we need perhaps a new left back and another centre half and we are there. 2 signings, and one or two from trialists and it's perfect.

So what? The standard of refereeing didn't hurt us last time why should it now. Be honest we only moan about referees to divert attention from the fact we are crap.

The level in the NL is terrible so nothing will change, will be nice to not have that Durkin bloke trying to be center stage

We hope and assume that no one will trouble us this coming season, logically the quality will be lower, it will certainly be more agricultural and physical, the standard of referring will be poorer if that is at all possible and the plastic pitches mean that certain of our players will not feature in those matches, but more teams are going full time and will invest as much or more than us. I believe we will win the league but do not expect it to be the cake walk it was last time around.
It wasn't actually with Owers in charge - that changed when GJ turned up....

If any fans have not listened to the Interview with Lewis Collins yet I highly recommend that you do.

At 13 minutes it shows that Lewis is articulate, highly motivated and a great example for young Professional Footballers.

I do hope he has a great season ahead of him and I look forward to watching his development.
