When we lost our league status we also lost around £800,000 in the form of various payments and grants. Therefore we found ourselves trying to run a full time club in non-league with the same facilities as before but £800k poorer.
We need a new ground now that can deliver revenue streams outside of normal match days. Plainmoor is more suited to being in the Football League than in non league.

Wishful thinking, he's never built one........................

The idea of a new stadium isn't because we'll have so many fans through the door that Plainmoor won't be big enough, it's the extra revenue that will come from everything in and around the stadium. The ground itself can be a 5000 capacity all standing glorified shed, it's the conference and venue facilities, the bard and restaurants, the all weather sports pitches, the gym, all the other bits that are open and generating income 365 days a year that are the important bits.
Sadly with our current ok owner it is never likely to happen :(
