Has Alan Knill got his transfer strategy wrong?

I can't reveal my source (which will probably mean I am not believed) but I know for a fact we have made a very attractive offer for a striker who will be a very welcome addition and one which will get the fans excited. AK is waiting to hear back, but is fairly confident of getting him. Not likely to be announced this week though.
We are also looking at Jamie Lowry excellent player but injury prone which is why Argyle released him. If he can stay fit he will be a good addition but unlikely to ever pass a medical. Exeter are also looking at him,

i do know one of the strikers ak has talked is someone who has being playing in europe and will apparently raise a few eyebrows if we get him, but i dont have a name as ak has been keeping the player under wraps so to avoid other clubs getting wind of it.
