United face draw specialists Torquay United look to get back into rhythm again this weekend, as the visit Pucklechurch Sports Ladies, in a game switched to astroturf, and to a midday kick-off, in a bid to try and get a game played. After last weekend’s postponement, United now face playing every Sunday until Easter, without having any more games called off. The 3G surface at the Sir Bernard Lovell Academy is likely to suit their game more than the Abson Road, turf, but it’s an early start for the first of five road games in succession. Pucklechurch have played just eight games so far in the South West Regional Women’s Premier League, one less than United, but have drawn five of them, taking points off Marine Academy Plymouth Ladies and Sherborne Town Ladies already. They also drew with Yeovil Town in the FA Cup, before going out on penalties. So United will need to be on their guard to take all three points to keep their title aspirations on track. For now at least, only if they can keep winning, can Torquay keep their title aspirations in their own hands. Pucklechurch don’t concede many, but they’re not top in the scoring charts either. Amy Jeffries with four and Mia Blazey with three lead their scorers So Sunday’s match has a noon kick off and takes place at the Sir Bernard Lovell Academy, North Street, Oldland Common, Bristol, BS30 8TS If you can make the trip to support the ladies in Bristol, your support is greatly appreciated. Regrettably, we are unable to bring you live radio commentary on this Sunday’s fixture. The post United Women Back On The Road first appeared on Torquay United.
