Mark Ellis! (Permanently??)
Mark Ellis! (Permanently??)
It looks as if Mark Ellis's day's are gone at Barrow would you like to see Mark Ellis be brought in to the club on a permanent deal?
This would also mean he would be most likely to retire here at Torquay United.

Mark would be a big part of our attempt to get clear of the bottom four. His wife/partner may be a stumbling block but if she's can be persuaded to come South that would be great.

Why does everyone think Ellis is an asset? Before he signed we shipped 28 goals in 15 games, a rate of 1.87 per game. Since then in league games involving Ellis we have shipped 15 goals in 6 games, a rate of 2.5 per game. Where is the improvement?
I fail to see what he has brought to the team. Like Hall he is a has been on his last legs.

Easy to say but as well as looking at concession rates you have to also consider who we played in those periods. Obviously we played Derby twice in the latest run
Hardly down to Mark Ellis I would say if you have watched the matches.
Why? How have we improved since he’s been here ?North Curry House wrote: ↑02 Dec 2022, 15:53 Mark would be a big part of our attempt to get clear of the bottom four. His wife/partner may be a stumbling block but if she's can be persuaded to come South that would be great.
Would like to think that the Johnson’s would have Plan B when good loan players are recalled, and instant loan replacements would have been available.

Exactly.. is there any point in signing more loans when you can only play 5 on a match day. Think Smith who was recalled by Wigan is a good example, club my have decided he was not getting enough games. Far better to actually sign players on then the loan situation does arise

Plan A - Attract Marquee signings scouted by brother
Plan B - Bring in loan signings scouted by brother
Plan C - Coaching....try it in case it works
Plan D - Decide that Plan's A to D didn't work
Plan E - Escape relegation....hope that there's 4 teams worse than you
Plan F - F*ck it, there aren't
Plan G - Gary's the right man to get us promoted to NLS, he did it before.....sell them that concept
I think we're somewhere around Gary's Plan F
