I honestly hope we completely put the FA Trophy to one side and focus on the league and FA Cup.
If we have a good season and find ourselves near the top then I'd much rather focus on regaining our league status and earning some money in the FA Cup.
I don't even think the final is televised anymore.

A lot to look forward to?
Cameron wants to stay so that's something to look forward too for me. He has a great amount of potential and I certainly think he will be a key player for us next season.
Going down won't stop me going to games, Aldershot, Woking, Eastleigh, Salisbury, just a few local games I will be looking to attend. I'll still be at Plainmoor for when I'm down in the area, I'll still wear my shirt with pride, I'll still enjoy the great support we have. Plus we might get a few TV games too.
And we may win a few games in the process. Today was something that has been in the works for months now, the fact we stayed alive until the penultimate week of the season still amazes me.
Let's rebuild, see what Hargreaves can do and let's do what we do best as supporters, support the club we love so much.
We will be back..

Mansfield Town v Torquay United - 26/4/14
Have to say getting relegated hasn't hurt me as much as I was expecting, maybe because I've accepted we were going down months ago.
Looks like we'll be having a relegation party next week.
Let's win again next week and keep some good form with us for our conference adventure.

Exeter V Torquay 21st April 2014
I'm so glad that we've kept up the fight if only for another few days. Getting relegated today would have probably been the most painful experience as a fan since they beat us in the play-off semi final. The fact we've pulled them right back into it also makes it feel very good as well, plus with the results going our way.
All we can do is focus onto Saturday, win at Mansfield and hope results go our way again, not sure who I would want to win from Wycombe v Rovers but as long as one team loses and Northampton lose then who knows, we could still do this (not that I think we will survive but still, got to keep the faith)
Just goes to show with 2 games to go, how poor of a league this league is the fact we could still stay up.
2 World Cup finals to go.

Fair play to anyone going to this. I really hope if we go down, we go down with a win.
For anyone who still thinks we have any chance of staying up, Wycombe are at Fleetwood, Rovers are
Home to Rochdale and Northampton host Portsmouth. Honestly can't see any of them winning today but I still think we'll go down today.

Torquay v Dag & Red - Friday 18th - 3pm KO
From the BBC.
At the other end of League Two, Torquay will be perilously close to the drop if they lose at home to Dagenham and Redbridge, Exeter avoid defeat at Chesterfield and Wycombe against Northampton does not finish in a draw. That would only leave Bristol Rovers needing to win at Portsmouth on Saturday to confirm the Gulls being out of the Football League for the first time since 2009.

Last Five Games of the Season
All we can do is keep winning games. The teams above us will start to panic if we keep winning. Simple as that. Most have written us off. Let's keep fighting until the very end. Dagenham are in poor form as well, a win is certainly not out of the question on Friday.

Southend United V Torquay United 29/3/14
I went yesterday and I've decided that I will not be wasting my time, effort and money anymore. I love this club but I've finally had enough.
We weren't bad, all Southend had to do was have a player fall over and the ref would give them a free kick. certainly one of the worst referees I've witnessed at a Torquay game. Rice didn't really have a save to make, but I feared the worse when I heard the strike force for the match.
Why sign this new striker if he isn't going to play? For what's its worth, I thought he looked ok, but he isn't playing with high quality players but lets hope he starts on Saturday And over next week in training, we can fully utilise his potential.
A few of us were sure they handled the ball leading up to the goal, having watched the FLS, my opinion hasn't changed. One of those decisions where it doesn't go for you when you're at the bottom.
They were targeting Cameron who I thought looked like being out only player who might help provide a goal. No idea why he was booked but they were trying to wind him up.
Hawley. Biggest waste of wages I've seen.
Bodin. Most frustrating player ever. For all the money we spent on him, he was useless. Lost the ball far too often.
Make no mistake, we are going down. Whatever was said in the dressing room, I hope to see some fight now. I don't care if it's Scunthorpe next, let's go for it. But please Chris, I never want to see Hawley in a Torquay shirt again. Still can't understand the logic yesterday of starting with him and Stockley.

Who's going to Southend?
Saturday will be my first (and possibly last trip for a long time) to Roots Hall. Have to say i am struggling to find reasons to go other than its a fairly local game and I have to support my team, no matter how sh*t we have been.
Still, maybe some pre-match drinks before the game will help ease the pain of watching tufc ( probably) lose again. The Hartlepool game comes to my mind.
Anyone going? Where's the best place for a pre match drink? Who knows, we might win!!!!

York City v Torquay United 25/3/14
Just goes to show how sh*t this league really is. We should be down, out of it, relegated by now with our results in recent months. We need positive consistent results from now on, simple as that.standupsitdown wrote:Northampton concede later equaliser.
So frustrating that haven't lost ground over the last few weeks (still 6 points) but can't get 2 or 3 good results in a row that would start to claw back the gap.
