Re: the latest odds
Soccerway is invaluable for form guide on all leagues and games around the world. I tend to trawl that for a treble so I'm not drawn by odds and then place my bet. Skybet is very good as they have markets on nearly every league.

Re: Tickets For Bristol Rovers
Im on the terrace and knowing our away support it won't matter where you are. Personally I think we are selling our away support short by "planning" where any singers should go...its also a bit embarrassing and IMHO makes us look a bit tin pot.
You pays your money you takes your choice, but for me it was a no brainer - i hate being both behind the goal and in seats - and they are more expensive!
Up the Gulls!

Re: Two Poss Signings
I remember Southampton signing a striker on the basis of some videos and the claim he was related to George Weah, so If we do end up signing this lad I hope it goes a little better than that transfer!
AND that he makes more of an impact than he did whilst at Stevenage. Some players seem to fit certain clubs - compare Zebs' record with us and Wycombe for an example - so fingers crossed we are the club to get the best out of him.

Re: New manager poll
Hughes & Hargreaves as coach. But if Hughes wanted his own man as his number 2 (and fair enough if he did), then Hughes.

Re: Buckle could be a mistake
All of whom he wasn't playing becuase they weren't good enough. No players doesn't like being in the side and some their toys out of the pram.AlexGulls wrote:Well look at the amount of players he's fallen out with whilst he's been here...
None of the players he let go have proved him wrong...Steve Woods, Matt Green, Chirs Hargreaves, Carayol.
As I said, IMHO he is a lot of things but dont feel this accusation is fair.

Re: Buckle could be a mistake
If that's the case why were Stanley and Bevan so happy to join him at Bristol Rovers? Why does Guy Branston call him the best manager he has ever played under? Paul Buckle is a lot of things but I really do feel that the accusation he is a poor man manager is wide of the mark.AlexGulls wrote:Eventually Karma will come round and bite him on the arse. Give it time. I still think hes not as good as he thinks. His man management skills are woeful at best.

Re: Craig Stanley
What you'll get from Craig is a hard working, honest midfielder. He can play simple passes (normally sideways), but the main benefit we got from him was a calm and experienced head in our young midfield. Our youngsters noticeably missed him during our first half debacle at OT.
Craig can tackle and he always puts in a shift and this is why he became popular with the fans. He knows the limits of his own game and plays within these - doing the simple things right and rarely putting a foot wrong.
Won't score you a lot of goals and you won't see glorious assists but every team needs one.

i can understand posters getting peed off.
come on its a business and buckle is taking care of his - if players are out of contract then why shouldnt he be able to
sign them???
doesnt mean that i dont think hes a t**t though! =D
Agree, Stanley obviously wanted to play for Buckle so why people think the board could have have affected his decision is beyond me. Lets move on...its only one player and our new manager will be able to recruit his own players in due course.
