Time for the 2nd pink strip to go...

As rightly pointed out the team haven't won in the white kit, but some important comparisons though, unlike the pink kit, the team haven't lost a league game in the white kit, unlike the pink kit, the team have scored a goal whilst playing in the white kit ;-)

As said all along I like the pink kit, the players clearly do not like it, so it's done for 👍

Torquay v Hampton & Richmond Sat 25th Jan 3pm

Going to to be another hard fought game here. Don't expect the new forward who's only been here a few days to start or hit the ground running, Matt Jay hasn't played a lot of football recently either.

Time for the 2nd pink strap to go...

OK so the shirt is £30 and socks are £8, but once again the team wore the white 3rd strip.

Facts are the 2nd strip has been discounted, isn't being worn anymore, so the club clearly have ditched the pink strip, this isn't fake news :-P

Time for the 2nd pink strap to go...

Thought it time to re-visit this thread. The good old pink kit that the team lost every match in with out so much as scoring a single goal, hasn't seen the light of day since the ill fated trip to Bishops Cleeve.

A small few of us suggested there could be a problem with this kit, and oh the reaction, how the masses laughed at such a notion  The club yesterday announced the pink was possibly cursed, defiantly reduced to £8, so it appears there is a problem with this kit and the club is getting rid of it,

Who's laughing now

Truro away

Don't think this will be the case at Truro, their average attendance this season is 1736 is the 3rd highest in the division, think it's fantastic for them, that the local community has come out and backed their football club in it's new and long awaited stadium.

Their ground holds 3,000 think they'll have no trouble selling out the home areas, WSM might be a different story, their average is 1005 hopefully they'll give us more tickets.

Torquay United v Hemel Hempstead

Yesterday I was delighted to join the Stacey family as match sponsors in memory of Dave Stacey a mini stander before taking up a place on the popside, Travelled home and away with Dave taken far too young, and of course his uncle Dave both lost Alzheimer's within a few weeks of each other.

Cove done up up nicely and the food standard much improved on before, bit disappointed as match sponsors to be put on table 12 of 12 at the back of the room but a minor detail, half time tea/coffee and biscuits and an after match pasty, would recommend a visit if you haven't as yet.

Been lucky enough to have been part of the match sponsor party many times before, this was the first time we really struggled to pick MOTM, not one player really stood out yesterday, we were reluctant to give it to Hamon as he only had 2 saves to make, however, both were top class, and ultimately made the difference between 3 or 1 point, so that swung it his way.

As for the game, a real drab affair but with the weather perhaps no surprise, what really brought it home to me was, after the game in the cove, both Hamon and Warnock were interviewed.

It's very easy for us fans to form opinions on team and player performances, But Hamon straight away said, don't know whether you fans noticed it in the stands, but the wind pitch side was very strong making it really difficult to play as they wanted to.

Warnock said, in all his experience sides going away to the top team in the league just love a heavy pitch and windy conditions because it is a leveller, Warnock went on to say this was probabaly the best win so far.

With the match sponsors today so a different view for me, Hemel have a new manager and some new signings so might get some bounce from that, but we must be seen as favourites for this match.

Signed Torquay United home shirt up for grabs

Hi Dean, It was always an honour to call your Dad my friend, also an honour to be joining you and other friends in sponsoring the game in Dave, and uncle Dave's memory.

If I may add this shows that Alzheimer's is not just a disease for the elderly and really hope that people support the collections today.

Torquay United v Farnborough

Farnborough's goalkeeper only had himself to blame, not only did he not do a pre match warm up, but the sun was shinning quite brightly into his face for the first 20 minutes or so, even a bang average park keeper would have put a cap on, you never know, he may well have been bale to see what he was doing.

Torquay United v Farnborough

The most complete performance I've seen so far, we were through out the second half what a solid defensive performance, they had some very good players and their approach play was good, but our back line held sold.

John Sinclair TV was at the game today, got a chance to speak with him after the game, had a lot of very good things to say about our club and fans.

Think we all know Farnborough are a good side at this level, I went to the away game and saw us create enough chances to get a at least a draw, hoping home advantage gets us through.
