Re: what the bookies think!
Shrewsbury (9/4) and Accrington (11/4) have both drifted out now, while you can still get 3/1 and 7/2 on Stevenage and Torquay respectively. However, Ladbrokes make Stevenage their 5/2 second favourites with Torquay and Accrington both 11/4.MuzDog wrote:Now the play-off picture has been decided, looks like we're the outsiders:

Re: Ticket arrangements for Shrewsbury
According to the NOTW, the first leg is live on Sky Sports 1.

Re: Ticket arrangements for Shrewsbury
When we played Birmingham in the FA Cup back in 2006 (I think), we sold out our 2,000 allocation and had to watch the game with the B'rum supporters as I couldn't get a ticket! That was a Tuesday night, so I believe a 1,900 sell-out at Shrewsbury on a Friday is not beyond the realms of possibility, as to all intents and purposes this is a bigger game. What do others think? Am I being a bit over ambitious in my thinking! 8/

Re: Ticket arrangements for Shrewsbury
Also, what's the arrangements for the away leg at Shrewsbury? Can't make the 1st leg (working in Salford - so will try and find pub with it on, if it's on Sky), but desperate to go to the 2nd leg.
Also will those who are part of the membership scheme get ticket priority along with season ticket holders? I thought this was one of the advantages of the scheme, and one of the reasons I joined. I live in the North and can't get to many home games but attend the majoroty of away games in the Midlands and North. However, for the 1st leg at last it appears that those who are part of the membership scheme do not get any ticket priority.

Re: Players contracts
Branston is definitely out of contract.

As for others, I think everyone was signed up for two year deals at the start of the season with the exception of Nicky Wroe, Elliott Benyon (both on existing deals at the time and since sold on), plus keepers Scott Bevan and Danny Potter. I think everyone else is tied to another year, with Halpin and Macklin on two more years.

Re: 3-game deal?
Another suggestion would be to make two or three Tuesday games per season free for members of the Plainmoor members club.
Hopefully this would boost the number of people who are part of this scheme, and would far offset any lost admission revenue in the long term when considering that it is an on-going £10 a month scheme, boost the gate for any midweek games that are selected (those where it is felt there is going to be less than 2,000), while increasing the profile and membership of this members club - which I feel is a fantastic scheme which allows exiles like me to contribute to club coffers.
