Torquay V Tranmere

Their commentator seams quite convinced they will break down our defence - so lets score two. Come on you yellows...

Would you go and watch Torquay United in the Conference South?

Short answer is YES, I support Torquay United.
However, living 200 miles away I would pick and choose my games. Like now would still attend 10 / 12 games per season and being regional (National League South) I may have more local games to attend.
Living near Brighton I can't tell you how hard it is watching my mates support a club on the verge of the Premier League. To think they nearly went out of the league a few years back. Just shows what good management / ownership can do!
So YES, I will always be YELLOW, but it hurts like hell at times.

Bromley vs Torquay 04/02/17

Just returned from today’s match, how funny to see my daughter’s former Academy Football Coach as today’s Assistant Referee (not the young one on our side who appeared to make many errors!).

Talking of funny occurrences the stray cat on the pitch was a highlight, as was their player Dennis who told us all to f*** off and stuck two fingers up towards us as he walked around the pitch.

On a muddy and heavy pitch, route one was always going to be a preferred method of attack. Brett Williams did a good job today and worked hard, but a target man he is not – we urgently need one.

After a slow start, that included the penalty, not sure why he needed to handle in that position, we grew into the game and half time came just as we applied the pressure. This pressure continued for much of the second half, we were the stronger and better team, however, the ball was not finding the net, only the bar twice.

Bromley committed a number of poor challenges, to stop and slow the game down as our pressure began to tell in the second half.

A spirited performance, but nothing to show. Lady luck could have been kinder.

Bromley vs Torquay 04/02/17

I can't comment on Boozers, I am sure someone will tell us.

However, I do know entry is only £15, £10 concessions, £5 students.... It must be worth the trip - BRING A MATE............

Bromley vs Torquay 04/02/17

As people have already pointed out our away record is poor. Lets turn things around and make it feel like a HOME GAME. Bromley have an average attendance of 1217, lets take the place over. Can we take 400 plus, lets together shoot for the stars.

Therefore I beg you to make this away trip and make it a day to remember.
> Lets empty Devon for the day.
> Take a friend (or two).
> London based supporters make this short trip.
> South / East supporters make this short trip.
> Time for The Drum again, can this be sorted!
> Make the place rock to Yellow Army.

Together we the supporters can help, stand as one and support the club we love.
See you on Saturday, come on you YELLOWS.............

Geoff Harrop on his way back?

Dave - Thank you for reply.

To make my point clear, I was thinking of Academy set up again and looking towards younger potential players and kids support. Not as Manager or DOF.

Geoff Harrop on his way back?

Dave,

You say "shocked", is that to say you thought he would be back this soon or you is honestly shocked?

I can only see this as a positive move, would welcome your thoughts.

The Herald Express Procast is worth a listen.

Now lets get behind the team and help move this fantastic club forward.

Re: The magical number

50 is enough.

Over the past ten years 48 has always been ok, except in 2005/6 when 49 points was second to bottom.

Re: Any update on Lingy?

The club as Employer will not be able to comment. As Employee (Lang in this case) has his human rights, employment law, etc. on his side. This covers redundancies, dismissals and disciplinary.

We can comment (maybe wrongly) on sites like this, the club can’t. They can’t speculate or put any future tribunal at risk (and I'm not saying there will be one), think of the financial consequences of something like that.

Like the rest of you I’m keen to know, move on and stay in the football league (STAYING UP.....).

The answer to this question needs to be put to the background for now.
