Squad 2024/25
Jay Foulston - ex Taunton defender
Copied:
Foulston Is The First!
Torquay United have announced their first signing of the new era at Plainmoor, with defender Jay Foulston joining The Gulls’ ranks for 2024/25.
Left-footer Foulston, 23, joins Paul Wotton’s side on a two-year deal, following a highly successful loan spell at Yeovil Town, which saw the Welshman gain a National League South winner’s medal, after making the switch across Somerset from local rivals Taunton Town.
After being capped eleven times for Wales at U19 as a youngster with League Two side Newport County, Jay went on to represent Merthyr and Chippenham before playing a key role in Taunton’s rise up the footballing pyramid.
Having been a regular for The Glovers since signing for them last term, Foulston will now be looking forward to reuniting with his fellow Taunton teammate Austen Booth, who is already under contract at Plainmoor.
Welcome to the English Riviera, Jay!

Bryn Consortium Take-Over
Revised UnitedinDevonUnitedinDevon wrote: ↑01 Jun 2024, 16:06 i dont think thats quite right, my understanding is that theres approx 600 people with small share holdings that are fans which goes back years - some maybe TUST members but i doubt all are
The money TUST are planning to put in isnt related to that
https://www.thenonleaguefootballpaper.c ... onsortium/
The TUST have circa 360 members and they have put in £50,000 of the 7%. therefore the accumulated share investment in the club is circa £1.4 million

Bryn Consortium Take-Over
Back in Business!
93% owned by Directors
7% owned by 600 TUST members
TUST fronting up £50,000
Directors + TUST = £713,000 ish
Subtract
Debtors, Club wages and future bills to pay.
Add
Season tickets / future Gate receipts, Advertising, Food and Drink profits.
Must stay in the Black at the end of the season, regardless of league position.

New manager announced - Paul Wotton
With the reported “ biggest budget in the league” for next season, I’m hoping that we get a new manager with a CV that is on the up and not on the slide.

Next season.
Read that the new owner(s) might be on the board of Brewdog.
If that’s the case, Boots and Laces could be full of Elvis juice next season.
Following TUFC has always been a Roller Coaster of a ride however beating Taunton stopped our club from getting on the Helter Skelter!!
Looking back just a few months, we were all excited at the beginning of the season and expected a Big Top finish however we soon discovered our club was (is) riddled with a bunch of Circus Clowns.
Stop the root, bin the lot, if we can and start again.

Taunton Town v Torquay United Tues 16 April KO 19.45.
We are staying up!
Because
The last game of the season is Taunton v Hemel and they both need to win ( impossible) to send us down.
