Transfer discussion 25/26
Wouldn't surprised me if he moved up the road to Crawley, can't argue that he isn't EFL standard.

The Drama of the next 49 Days in the NLS
Easy warmup game for Maidstone tonight, but tougher tests to come in the shape of Eastbourne. Poor old Worthing, atleast they have that famous 5-1 victory in the FA trophy to look back on.

This, for sure. Not worried about Worthing they will bottle it like they did last year and no doubt will bottle the playoffs. Think Truro may just do it but we will come mightily close.Gull1899 wrote: 18 Apr 2025, 16:13 Not sure why you’re thanking us as that title is in reach now for us, as you have a very hard game Monday.
Thank you for not winning today ;)

Truro v Torquay
Think this will be even game in poor conditions - going for 0-0.

The Drama of the next 49 Days in the NLS
Looking at Maidstones final fixtures I fully expect them to finish in the playoffs over Weston-super-Mare.
Home games in the playoffs are vital. I wouldn't mind playing Worthing in their dump of a ground but we would be in for a tough game against any of the other teams in the playoffs away from home.
Let's see how today goes and go from there, a win today and a draw between Eastbourne & Worthing would be massive. At the other end of the table, a win for St Albans wouldnt be too shabby either.

Glad that the usual NLS bottlers don't fancy going up, one less team to worry about.

Based on that there's no chance Worthing will win the league.

Being 3pts clear, in a favourable situation top of the tree and of course jumping above us in the table may have something to do with it.

As if by magic, here comes Keithsson posting on the Torquay board after a Worthing win. It's no surprise he doesn't keep the same energy when they lose though, nowhere to be seen. Zzzzzzz.

I do agree with large parts of this post but the attached quote is absolute rubbish, you do realise we are 14 games unbeaten?culmstockgull wrote: 22 Jan 2025, 10:33While our car occupants disagreed on certain aspects of the game we were all in total agreement that we suspect there is something very wrong in the dressing room

Osborne gone!
But other clubs have thrived and gone from strength to strength with new owners George, who knows. Only time will tell.wbw wrote: 24 Feb 2024, 12:42 Be interesting where this all leads. Fans of other clubs have drummed out owners with lots of money and almost without exception, those clubs have dropped like stones or disappeared altogether.

Osborne gone!
I'm surprised there's still fans fawning over Osborne, it's no wonder why the council didn't engage on where the future was going given his track record.wbw wrote: 24 Feb 2024, 11:08 I cannot believe some of the responses of "fans".
Osborne saved the club from oblivion when nobody else was remotely interested in investing. He's thrown away well over 5 million quid and got nothing but abuse for his money. The council wouldn't even engage with him on where the future is going.
He didn't go to games, was the biggest moan. Well neither does the owner of Man City, or Spurs, or Arsenal etc etc. It means nothing.
Osborne has been driven out, be careful what you wish for guys. His only mistake was not getting rid of Johnson two summers ago.
Biggest moan he didn't go to games? Don't make me laugh. You seriously need educating.
Osborne saved the club for his own interests, not for anyone else. Good riddance.
