Anyone remember Mad Marcus?

I start regularly going the back end of 83/84,but properly from 84/85 onwards, as a young lad I couldn't ever really see John Bartlett, but for whatever reason he use to scare me!, think it was the loud booming voice and his general pissed off attitude, I use to go up to the back of the popular side to something to eat and he always had a distinctive smell of ciggies/tabbaco!, I was also at the game when he got ejected vs Maidstone!...

**23rd March v Hampton & Richmond** - Big Protest Day

Not entirely sure what WestLondonYellow has done exactly, he's allowed quiz or question the narrative that's put out by CO and the club isn't he?, and the fact GI or CO don't ever deliver on new stadiums, and the potential plans for Gulls new stadium was just a copy of Grimsby's..The club has or is being run into the ground, CO is a property developer and not fome white knight, the figures out out by the club (losses) I don't entirely believe, he's hired a manager who he won't sack, because anyone else from outside his bubble of mates would take one look at the set up and realise the club is a shambles at this moment, it's all to cosy right now, if fans kick off and moan they're deemed trouble or ungrateful, I really don't understand why this is so?, I don't want a conman running out club.

Taunton Town v Torquay United TUE 13th

I can see Truro playing or requesting their "home" games to be played away, just a hunch I've got, or the Taunton deal gets scrapped and they ask another club?, Taunton's pitch surely cannot stand up to all these games piling up..I do hope though Taunton find a way to stay afloat, be such a shame if they went to the wall.

WestLondonYellow has a good point, fans and CO keep banging on about these MILLIONS he's put into the club?, really?,I think this figure isn't right, it's not on transfer fees is I?, the two FA cup tv games with gate receipts would of recouped a bit, plus previous other seasons to this one where we've done well with gates/tv games and transfer fees in general,so all this cobblers about 7million or whatever it is, I'm not buying it, it hasn't happened.

I'm glad someone is cutting through all the phony nonsense about CO being our white knight, he isn't, he's on a parr with Chris Roberts, if not worse, the stadium plans are a joke, we would have a club without him, everything around us at the moment lies at his feet, all the hangers on in the background need to go, GJ outstaying his welcome by about 18months, all in all it's a shambles, the team flatters to deceive and is short on any real quality, I thought last season was bad and we needed a fresh slate, the mindset at the club needs to change, a losing mentality is evident , but this is about the bigger picture and CO/Gaming international, and the sheer brass neck/brazen way in which they are conning Gulls fans with empty promises, Why would CO who has ZERO link to Gulls, isn't a fan nor local suddenly want to invest all this money into us?, what's his end game?, his track record is iffy at best, I want him and co OUT ASAP NOW.

Feel for Taunton and I hope they survive their current plight, but although as bad as we are, we surely cannot lose this one, Taunton 0-3 Gulls, but nothing to get excited about.

To many changes all the bloody time, chopping and changing, Moxey a decent pro but maybe a season to far, Marshall's a liability, new signings Jude Boyd and Booth have been thrown in, no time to gell or work on anything, a complete "make it up as we go along" scenario, shambolic...

Message to the "protesters"

Like Admirals post late last night states, until Osborne is gone and hangers on, I won't return, the club right under our nose is being run into the ground, I'm old enough (just about) to remember going up between 1984 to 1987 and trust me, that was bad, but not as bad as this shambles, the club was skint in the mid 80's and Lew Pope was trying his best with Webby at the helm, it wasn't great, but we are now 6th tier, a conman is basically behind the scenes wanting the land/ground...the team is void of any real quality, GJ has outstayed his welcome by about 18months now, and the writing is on wall..This is the one of the lowest points in our history, but you aren't allowed to say anything, protest, voice an opinion because your deemed "trouble" or "negative" or the wrong type of fan??, you couldn't make this nonsense up

Be crazy to start Booth,Nelson and Jude Boyd up against a team who score lots, a new look defense yet again.. throwing in young inexperienced kids and hoping for the best, just like last season and look how that panned out, 2-2 at best today.

Ronny Nelson Joins Gulls On Loan

Doubt he'll go straight into starting XI??, He probably hasn't even had a training session with his team mates, you can't just throw a defense together with 3 new defenders an expect "take off" , this season is so reminiscent of last season, SO many players coming and going, new faces in/out, it takes training, drills, understanding and HOURS on the training pitch working as a unit, NOT throwing in players any old how and expecting instant results, the more I think about tomorrow, I've said 2-2 but I can see us getting beat, it wouldn't surprise me.

The trouble is Skillsy, as the saying goes, it looks half decent on paper, the reality is something completely different, we never have our strongest team out, some of those players flatter to deceive, Jarvis and Dawson have been crocked for ages, there's no guarantees they'll hit the ground running, we've got a team low on morale and confidence, a manager who I'm not sure the players are listening to, has become clueless of late, and seems to of glossed over the St Albans result, going on about the performance in yet another loss to Maidstone, 100% he won't be sacked, I'm wondering if his post match interview after St Albans was an act because whatever he alluded to, hasn't happened..Skillsy,I CAN see your thinking, but I think the damage is already done, the names you've stated are good pro's, but the majority just haven't performed well this season even when they have played, and this is why I doubt we'll make the playoffs.

Yet another loanee thrown in with probably not a training session with the team, on paper this really looks like the bomb squad has been sent up there, doesn't fill me with much hope at all.
