Hereford v Torquay United 3pm 13th January 2024 FATrophy

This will be a good test vs a side in and around our level but of course in NLN, same standard as ourselves pretty much...Bulls 1-2 Gulls I see Andy Williams is back at Hereford, although in late 30's now, is a proven hitman upfront.

Torquay United v Eastborough Sat 6 January 3 pm KO

I haven't been to the last two home games, but I thought the HH game papered over the cracks for me, we've lost a heck of a lot to injury, that's really unfortunate and cannot be helped, never liked the lack of information coming out of the club regarding this... looking at the last 3 or 4 match- day squads we look very short on striking options and a bit lightweight all over the park this surely needs to be addressed asap, I read a fellow fan asking why or suggesting Asa Hall upfront, for me I'd play him at centre back, then with 10 to go, if needed throw him upfront at that point?, I do rate Archer but he needs help, it's a lot to ask of him to lead the line right now, right now promotion looks a long way off and maybe it'll take another season in this league before it happens.

A Message for Ross Marshall

Very much on Ross Marshall's side on this one, if a bunch of numptys are suddenly wearing their big boy pants and feel all brave enough to gob off at Ross, then expect it back, which is exactly what he gave you, he was probably fed up, frustrated, and p*ssed off with the flack coming his way after actually not having to bad a game (wasn't in attendance but heard he played ok)...One thing I will say about the Truro game, it was always going to be tough, this league is much tougher than last time, we aren't going to steam roller teams like before, the standard for me is higher.

Torquay United v Truro City, Boxing Day 3pm.

That's a great point by Desperado, Plymouth Parkway played Tivvy yesterday, and the amount of rain due between now and Sat could be the reason it's off.I've heard many opposition managers who've played Truro (at Parkway) mention the pitch isn't great. Without going off point which I can do, surely again the amount of players we are using is yet another sign it's not happening this season, like last season it was a revolving door at times, and this is another factor as to why we're so inconsistent/ hit and miss ...

Torquay United v Truro City, Boxing Day 3pm.

Just following on from other disgruntled fans this morning, the GJ approach of not wanting to explain injuries, why players are in or out from the starting XI, how long players are out for, when they'll return etc is WAY to "cagey" in an away game on radio Devon this season someone asked him for early team news and he alluded to not telling him because the opposition manager will find out, tweek his teams plans or whatever and gain an advantage on us??, it's bizarre bordering on plain weird, He needs to be more honest with us, I know sometimes it is better to keep club affairs in-house, but this is 6th tier regional football, If he's that concerned about semi pro's/part timers beating by knowing our team selection 20mins early we must have problems....From the sit down Q&A session GJ is going nowhere anytime soon...The season isn't over, and there's a heck of a long way to go, but the amount of losses already is a big worry, we are nearly entering Jan 2024 and I don't think we've ever had our strongest team out, I actually bumped into Kevin Dawson prior to HH game on babbacombe downs in a club tracksuit, he stopped to give one of my sons an autograph (for my son) he was super nice guy, was with Shaun Donnellan at the time,it all happened so quickly, should of asked about his return.

Torquay United v Truro City, Boxing Day 3pm.

To many fans posting leading up to this game that we'd win, not only that -win big...I knew it wasn't going to be a stroll in the park at all, Truro are no mugs, not one bit, some quality players, with a quality manager, I said 2-2 I should of had the courage of my convictions and predicted an away win, I was at the HH game last week and our win for me papered over the cracks. .I still think we'll be top 7, but what does that really means if ultimately we won't be promoted?, there's no point to being in the play offs just to make the numbers up, that's how I feel or fear will happen esp if we scrape 6th or 7th, getting out of this division will become a colossal challenge...

I said TUFC 2-2 Truro prior to the Chelmsford game .. They're on a good run themselves think 4 wins in 5, Wotton and Harvey both signed contract extensions and recently been taken over by a Canadian businessmen, they are in a good place,Harveys goal vs Havant was worthy of any goal of the season winner, I can't see how fans think this will be a walk in the park, I'm expecting a tough game..2-2 for me

Online Fans Forum

As a new fan who's just registered, I wanted to post my thoughts on the sit down questions and answers session , recently put out by the club...
I was surprised a good few questions on certain topics were brought up, and in fairness the panel did answer them at least, however you'd think Clarke Osborne had left some amazing legacy at Swindon, Reading,MK, and I Bristol where in reality I beg to differ from his words .Mr "One club ..United" was only there to back up Clarke, and nod and agree, Gary Johnson folks is going nowhere anytime soon, that was abundantly clear....like I say, I'll give them all credit for answering the questions that were submitted..Still cannot workout Clarke's answer to the great question about him putting all this money in for exactly what in return?, there has to be a reason behind this surely, or is he our "white knight" like he claims to be?, doubtful, businessmen are usually after money, land, notoriety etc, I'm not trying to be suspicious, but what's his end game?.
