Firstly, I wish every player who has played for us over the last couple of torrid seasons well - yes even Ross Marshall.
I view the coming season with optimism and excitement. Our team last year looked good on paper, but injuries aside, I wonder if those same players, either consciously or unconsciously thought themselves too good for NLS and were completely caught out by the opposition, who week after week demonstrated their passion, desire and commitment to win at all costs. What I saw in those players was totally lacking in our own team who often looked as though they thought that all they had to do was turn up.
Sadly they too often didn’t turn up and we lost regularly to supposedly “inferior “ teams. Well now we have PW who appears to be building a team that will hopefully show that same level of desire and commitment that we played against last year. That, combined with a manager and assistant who are able to coach, organise and inspire a team (and club) towards promotion, and help to restore some pride on and off the pitch.

Maybe it’s our number 2 goalkeeper - stating that “he’s a bit handy” ??Willowgull wrote: ↑08 Jun 2024, 09:48 TUFC were seen filming in the Wickes DIY store yesterday. Does that give anyone a clue to whom our next singing may be?

He’s still under contract at Bath. I presume part of the delay in announcing our new signings is to allow them time to post their goodbyes to their clubs/ fans, before they hear about it from Torquay United website.Parkys People wrote: ↑31 May 2024, 17:21 Elliott Frear of Bath City had a lot of quality on the left of midfield and would be an excellent addition. He coaches at the University of Exeter, which may make it appealing for him to join us, if he could still do that role. I'd be delighted if brought him to Plainmoor. An Exeter lad, that went on to FGR, Motherwell and Hearts. Not sure if he's signed up for another year at Bath City or not. But would be an excellent addition.

I wonder how many (if any) of our former players will end up playing thereJimNichol'sdog wrote: ↑25 May 2024, 19:16 No doubt Cheltenham can look forward to a host of 'marquee signings', most of whom will spend more time in the treatment room and stand than they will on the pitch!!

According to Transfermarket he is under contract until 30th June 2025. I don’t know how accurate that is. I’m also unsure whether or not going into administration makes existing contracts null and void should the player so wish.
