So do grass pitches.Southampton Gull wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 18:21 Plastic pitches are all different and play differently from each other, even those that are supposedly identical. I reference it just to explain to those less knowledgeable as to why I personally felt a point away today would have been a good result. To get 3 points has left me delighted. Anything wrong in that?

Like I said, it's about statistics.Southampton Gull wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 17:31 I'll support the club no matter what league we're in. We don't have a magic right to be anywhere but where we are. Some fans are so fickle. We've just won away AGAIN. Let that sink in when you read some of the comments. That's what is truly embarrassing. Under Osborne we're lucky to even have a club to support and so with that in mind I'm glad we have an experienced manager like Gary Johnson, it could be so much worse.
We'll all support the club no matter what, yet it takes some fans to state the obvious whilst others keep fickle in their pockets, or wherever they keep it.
A magic right is through knowing what the opposition is going to do with you, and if you are weak then you'll be relegated. Much like TUFC were last season.
If the embarrassment comes from the fact that it's about time this team should be winning in all departments I would understand, but the simplicity is that they aren't and you cannot deny that.
Using Osbourne who is basically a corporation owning a club which should belong to the people, and using Gary Johnson as an experienced manager (in both going up and going down) is basically gaslighting.
If Osbourne plan was 5 years then time has passed us by, because this was not the plan of the fans, which means the corporation has a different plan. Why? Because this team should be winning easier than the last campaign in the league before.
That's where most of them came from.
Plastic pitches is also gaslighting. All players at this level know plastic pitches.

There's a reason why Dawson, Moxey and Hall aren't available and that's because they should be on the bench! This should be THE bench together with another striker.
That's a team that would win this league.
That's a team with backup.

It's not about GJ moaners, it's about statistics compared to the team which stayed and where they compare in a lower league from where they were this same time last season.
Does this team need changes compared to last season or does it copy what happened last season.
Last season seriously lacking in the striking department.
This season, the same.
Midfield the same.
Defence, barely coping which is slightly better.
Make your own mind up what's needed but before this game has ended we are only 3pts better than last season.
Against mostly part time teams.

Who 'He' is you'll never know.
If it was worth posting this comment then it must have rung a bell or two for you to back up the other two who also don't understand logic.
For the others comparing others with lenses it doesn't work that way, although I'm sure RM will be a better player.
Stick him in the Team.

It IS a weakness otherwise we wouldn't have to wear glasses or contact lenses. This is logical.jono_Gull209 wrote: ↑16 Aug 2023, 16:45 Bloke wears glasses, so what?! It’s not a weakness, loads of players need them + loads of players wear contact lenses - they don’t just fall out.
I wear glasses and it is definately a weakness.
What I stated is that you do not "advertise" on mainstream, especially someone who has just come back from an eye operation the fact that he will (naturally) want to protect that eye.
Also, now the fans know that RM has this weakness, that could influence the way the fans act towards him.
Protect your players (and staff).

On another note and an observation.
No disrespect to Ross Marshall who had a great game last night.
Why during an interview would a pro player be wearing glasses?
If you're long sighted you need them for reading and if there was a Q card then that would say those glasses were strong.
If you're short sighted you would need them to see far away things.
It begs a question, why no contact lenses when being interviewed?
Now the competition knows a nudge in the eyes and our defender is in trouble.
You do not advertise weaknesses.

The fact is that these guys/girls of whoever is controlling this club have no idea on statistics.
Statistics play an important roll... Nah, they're everything when deciding to do what your going to do and when.
That's a fact.
The fans see the statistics every game in a game by game view and so too the management, they're never allowed to let their hair down and actually study what's going on..
There is much more to analyse than just a game or several of several.
It's like you are in a different time zone sometimes when studying? All the time.

torque (n.)
"rotating force," 1882, from Latin torquere "to twist, turn, turn about, twist awry, distort, torture," from PIE *torkw-eyo-, causative of root *terkw- "to twist." The word also is used (since 1834) by antiquarians and others as a term for the twisted metal necklace worn anciently by Gauls, Britons, Germans, etc., from Latin torques "collar of twisted metal," from torquere. Earlier it had been called in English torques (1690s). Torque-wrench is from 1941.

There is a way to do statistical analysis where you will always win more than you lose, how this pertains to football is as easy as 123.
The secret is timing and position of timing in sets that one cannot fathom.
Of course it's more in depth than that summary but all reveals itself when the cogs fit.
Maybe TQ1 could do with someone like me, who knows?
