It is hardly giving up on the only profession he has known due to it. He has (or is likely to) change employer to be nearer his family. Many people would do the same.
And you soldiering on in the face of abysmal tragedy does not make you more of a man and him less of a man. It just makes you different. There is no need to be so derogatory about it.

TUST
Admittedly I have only skimmed the TUST page, but is there anywhere I can increase my monthly subscription from £2pm? I am happy to increase to £10pm if possible and there may be others who would be willing to pay more than the £2pm. If there isn't maybe it can be changed as it may be depriving the TUST of more income.

Top earners are on about £45kpa.
The younger players will be offered low initial deals with increases when they hit so many games per season to reflect an increased importance/development.

Thea steps down with immediate effect
It is impossible to say whether it is good or bad news based on the announcement. Hopefully hear some developments in the next few days regarding who will be leading the club (Kelvin Thomas?) and/or new financial backers.

Good luck to him. Can't be any fun being a reserve conference keeper miles from home. He'll work, play semi pro and probably earn a lot more than here.

Is Hargreaves fit for purpose?
When I see CH, I just see a man out of his depth in a situation that would challenge a more experienced manager. He is a good coach, but seems to be struggling with the pressure and responsibility of being a manager. If we retain him beyond the season, and budget permits, an older director of football type appointment could help him with tactics, recruitment, halting a bad run. Would be a massive shame if his managerial spell detracts from his legendary playing status.

James McQuilkin Midfielder signs
My limited understanding of non-contract, is that the club will cover expenses, although I am unsure what can, or cannot, be covered under that description. I know of one player in the non-league whose expenses were c£300pw.
To answer a query from above, I think it can also include the players insurance against career ending injury.
Non-contract deals are quite common in the lower leagues as it gives freedom for the individual who may have other interests and clubs who may not want or have the money to commit to contracts. I know it is a shame that our club has to do this, but this is the reality of the situation.

Cambgull - what did you think of the ratings? I have to do the mid season update soon, so if you think anything is massively wrong then let me know.

They approached me. I was a fairly regular poster on the Sports Interactive League 2 thread in their forums and when the old researcher quit about 2 years ago they emailed me about it.
Quite good fun if you love FM and statistics. You rate the players twice a year in the summer and before the January update. At the end of the season you do the stats for players, finances, injuries etc.
Quite time consuming for a few weeks a year.
I don't get paid but I get a free copy of the game.

Football Manager 2015
Hi
I do the stats and ratings for FM2015 so if you think anything is wrong, let me know as I can amend the ratings at the new year update.
I did noy rate Ives btw. The Northern Ireland researcher did his ratings and set his potential to be high as there are a number of scouts looking at him and he is highly thought of.
Enjoy the game

Top Truro players can earn c£1000-£1200pm so half decent money if yuo have a part time job as well. Did I read a while ago that Mansell was re-training as a plumber/electrician for when he stops playing?

I haven't seen him either, but have been speaking to a youth coach at the club and a scout at another club.
The things you mention can be coached out of him, but he has the raw attributes which will make a club invest in him.

But there is no guarantee that sacking a manager will guarantee to stay up. Did not with us or Rovers (technically moved upstairs). Or Fulham. or Cardiff. Or Shrewsbury. Or Stevenage. Or Tranmere. Or Carlisle. Or Barnsley.
I Stand to be corrected but of the 12 teams that will be relegated across the divisions, 10 have changed their manager.

Appointing Knill was a massive mistake. They know it, we know and Knill knows it. But it is easy for fans to say Sack Him when they don't have to write the cheque for £50k to pay him off.
