Agree. Hoping the model village gets a feature. Seem to remember Mike Bateson used to take prospective players there for an interview process.Gull in black wrote: ↑06 Jun 2024, 05:35 I’m loving the player introduction videos on Insta, who would have thought our club doing something like that (?) - exciting times.

Squad 2024/25
With respect to the guys we have signed so far, when rebuilding from scratch it is often the squad players who sign on first because it is cheaper and quicker to get a few bums on seats. Then you add in the few key playmakers who take a bit longer to find/convince. With Neil in the background I am confident there is a plan.

I like it. Is there a thin white line within the yellow bands, would be a nice addition.

Begbies Traynor Administrators of Torquay United.
Exactly that. A few preferred creditors get paid but the lineup breaks pretty quickly and most creditors would have got nothing back.
I’m not sure how much of the £7m Bryn have agreed to settle but I presume it is the c£1.1m which excludes related party debts (mainly due to Riviera Stadium linked to Osborne and his “funding party”).

They are certainly a bit ‘out there’. Don’t dislike option 2 but not sure how tropical it will look caked in mud on a November evening in Slough

New manager announced - Paul Wotton
Yea agree. Was wishful thinking really.Gulliball wrote: ↑15 May 2024, 09:50 As someone who lived in Aberdeen for five years and remains interested in them, he's playing most weeks and making noises about a new contract. He's 33.
Is also on probably £5k a week and playing regularly in front of 16-18k, so doubt he's going to be pulled by NLS unfortunately.

Osborne gone!
CP Gull wrote: ↑12 May 2024, 10:11 Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!
Of course Clarke Osborne, who had no interest in football, didn’t put £5 million of his OWN money in to prop up TUFC, that came from property developers (perhaps Taylor Wimpey?)
This hatred of the TUST by certain individuals has to stop. As we now know they are about
to launch a Community Share Scheme and will need as many fans as possible to get behind it in order to give us the best chance possible of moving onward and upward, starting with getting out of this League. So people saying that they can’t be trusted - is really not helping matters. It may well put some people off parting with their money for fear of the TUST running off with it! Come on people, admit you were perhaps wrong about the previous owner … and get behind the new ones.

Bryn Consortium Take-Over
Hopefully we do get some tangible news this week but I wouldn’t read too much into the share subscriptions in these new companies.
It costs a few quid and an a couple of hours to set these up and is a very minor piece of admin out of a huge list of actions that are needed to get the deal over the line.
I would assume the due diligence and financing discussions (e.g. bank loans) are the main challenges and these could take weeks.

Oh wait, you were using ‘girls’ as a pejorative term. I get it.
