Go G.O!!

No problem. I can see you are happy being how you are. Remember though, that approach of decrying down those who genuinely want to help will get you nowhere. Feel free to show ignorance those who wish to insult me. I laugh when I read that I found/ recognised a couple of players. Why not have a word with David Thomas from the Herald? He knows my career stats from his research. I have worked as a coach at Boca Jrs in Argentina. At Puntarenas in Costa Rica. At Miami Freedom in USA. As National Coach of Barbados with 27 matches played, 18 wins, 4 draws and 5 defeats, including World Cup Qualifying wins over Costa Rica. As Owner/Manager/Coach of Lambada FC. At Cartagena in Spain. Players I have developed at these clubs have been transferred for a total figure in excess of £17 million. Two of them came to TUFC and were then transferred for £975,000. I have also turned down a 3 year contract to coach Egyptian top club Al Ahly.

To SMW89 I suggest you do your research before accusing me of playing silly games and making things up.

To Southampton Gull, what level of football do you have on your CV that you are speaking to me as an authority?

I do not have to prove anything about myself. So why the insults?

southampton gull. Can you tell me how I have been ignored by TUFC? If I offer the club 2 players and they choose not to respond back to me that is their choice and their given right. I certainly am not bitter about that. Nor do I consider doing this is in any way, shape or form to be trying to make out myself as a ''management guru''. I certainly haven't been accused of that before and certainly wasn't when TUFC made £975,000 profit from the last time I dealt with them as a manager/owner.

As for coming on here and ''opening my trap'' as you so eloquently put it, if you are an administrator of this forum is there any need to write like that? Perhaps you should do a little research into the ''lower league Spanish club I am helping'', as you put it. Second Division. Average attendance 27500. Assistant Manager. Different level, my friend. I have always been interested in helping TUFC. I have no airs and graces. I have achieved far more in football than you know to be able to try and insult me as you have attempted. Sadly it is that approach that has led to TUFC being where it is today. So if you want to castigate the hierarchy at the club and GO remember to take a look at yourself first.

Go G.O!!

forevertufc I suggest you read my post on Gloucester City v TUFC on here tonight at 9.28pm in which I state ''As is usually the case it is almost certainly a handful of morons who are tarnishing the name of the club and those who support the team''.

I certainly have not tarred everyone with the same brush as the above post points out. I have also not sensationalized anything. And I am not involved in any pettiness should I choose to post on here.

smw89 I don't transfer players out of my clubs to help other clubs unless they are quality players, trust me. My record speaks for itself. Both players would have been great assets to TUFC. One now plays MLS in the States and the other is in Spain's Second Division.

forevertufc I don't need you to tell me what I can do or cannot do. If you read my posts you will see that I am in no way oversensationalizing anything. I do not have time to get involved in petty things.

Go G.O!!

tomogull, point taken and I respect your insight. However, I perhaps have a better idea of what is going on at TUFC than you may think, despite my being in Spain. Regarding GO, I have stated that I do not think he is the right man to get TUFC out of their current predicament, but the problems lie not solely with him but with the hierarchy of the club. In the last 15 months I have offered 2 strikers to TUFC for zero £, exactly the same situation as was the case when I dealt with Don O'Riordan back in the mid 1990s. I never even received the courtesy of a reply!

Believe me I am not saying that GO should remain blameless but many times the person holding the position of Manager or Head Coach at a professional club simply has his hands tied with regard to wanting to sign or play players that he prefers. Yes, GO has lost the dressing room clearly and the situation for him has become untenable. But again, don't shoot the messenger. Look at those above him for the real blame.

Southampton Gull: Reading some of the posts from yesterday I read one from someone called Burnham something or other saying ''well done to whoever threw the liquid over GO''. To me this is condoning the action. Other posts castigate both the person who allegedly threw the liquid and this other person for congratulating the thrower.

Go G.O!!

I do believe the club is going downhill both on and off the field. It has been the case for the past few years and it is going even further down now.

Read the posts from yesterday and you will see. One person states:'' To the person who threw beer or coffee over Ower I say Well Done''

Go G.O!!

It is sad to see TUFC supporters condoning the behaviour in your match yesterday. It appears the club is going downhill both on the field, off the field and also from a supporters moral point of view. Not the TUFC I remember of a few years back. And not really the sort of club one wishes to try and help either.

Hopefully criminal charges can be brought against those who commit assault on club officials, for that is what it is. Last season over here, a fan at a particular match threw a cup of water over a coach at half time as he was leaving the field. He was banned from all football, charged with assault and jailed for 4 months. Perhaps such penalties may force some TUFC supporters to think twice before taking their frustration out on a professional who is trying to do his job.

Gloucester City v Torquay United 27/08/18

Have just read the reports etc of TUFC match yesterday v Gloucester and can only say in my opinion the person who threw coffee in the manager's face should be identified and banned from all football grounds for life plus criminal charges should be brought against him. Any people on this forum who condone this sort of behaviour are simply despicable and should be punished accordingly. As is usually the case it is almost certainly a handful of morons who are tarnishing the name of the club and those who support the team. In these days when there is a growing move to throwing liquids such as acid in people's faces the severity of punishment should reflect the deed.

For Gods sake Gary Ower is trying to do his job. What has he done to deserve some of the insults he is getting and having hot liquid thrown over him by a supposed ''TUFC'' supporter? If this sort of behaviour continues then TUFC as a club will get everything it deserves. I remember when it used to be a family club. Not anymore.

For example, get rid of Gary Owers and what then? The same status quo will continue, no money, no decent players coming in and nothing will have changed except a different manager will be struggling away against all the odds and getting unfair criticism from so many people. You have an enormous problem at your club. You cannot solve that with a stop gap solution, ie sacking the manager. You have to accept the problem is not GO. It has been building up for a number of years now behind the scenes, long before GO came to the club. I do not believe GO was the right person to get TUFC out of the mess they are in on the field, but then again, WHOEVER took over as manager would still face the same behind the scenes problems.

And just who would want to manage TUFC? I certainly wouldn't, for one!

The buck stops with the manager, yes, but problems off the pitch, most of which the ordinary supporter has no knowledge about, are having a detrimental impact on performances. Mr Owers has no money to sign decent players so he has to work with what he has got and being perfectly honest the current crop of players at the club just are not good enough. Whether he is a good manager or not will not be validated until he has better players to work with. And I don't think that will happen.

So I don't think you can pin all the blame on GO even for what is happening on the pitch.

Thanks Nick. I am just trying to add a different perspective to things rather than let emotions come into play too much.
