Torquay United v Oxford City 26/1/19

My Son David and Grandson Rufus (2) and friend Richard from St Austell (and Brum) are at Plainmoor today and he is texting me in Thailand each time a goal is scored. My bedtime right now. Well done you Gulls and fans ! Lets hope Wealdstone hold on . . . .

Bath Away jan 19th

Southampton Gull - you seem to be in a good position to offer to collect all the allegations and evidence from this Forum's Members - you could then pass it on to the Club. Members could send this to you on a PM to keep it private and avoid quibbles ?

I think it is important that ALL knowledge is passed quietly to the Club. ATB

Bath Away jan 19th

I noticed that Kevin Amankwah was playing for Bath City - that was some years ago he was on loan at Torquay.

Regarding those criminal hooligans, it would surprise me if our team were unaffected by the goings on. Fortunately Woking dropped 2 points and now we are free for another 10 wins in a row !

Good luck Guys - I hope to catch a game or two at season's end.

A small thought

Gary Johson did 3 years at Yeovil and Cheltenham - he's 63 now.
When Yeovil moved him out, they were bottom of league 1. Cheltenham were struggling too.
It would be very surprising if Yeovil came back for him - something went amiss last time.
I've always admired GJ and his approach with the Players and Fans . . .

Just MO but GJ will be enjoying this win % with his support team around him, and as long as TUFC hierarchy let him run the show, I think he'll stay.
And hopefully there won't be a 'fall out' of any kind.

Torquay United v Slough Town - 5th January 2019

Good luck today :scarf:
Midland - wish I could be there too - myself hoping to get to Plainmoor before the end of the season.
Apparently part time Woking have already made £350K from their FA Cup venture :slap: Crikey - that makes a difference.
Let's hope Watford exhaust them and they drop some points on Wednesday.
I see Mark Ellis featured for Tranmere v Spurs last night at centre back - ouch. Come on you Gulls !

Transfer Rumours 18/19

Quiet and Nick - sorry Guys. Hadn't noticed that point being reported here and I thought it was interesting.
Some Gulls had been wishing for Jake Robinson a while ago I remember. OK ?

Transfer Rumours 18/19

According to BBC - famed former Gull, Jake Robinson 16 goal hero of Billericay, has signed, for an undisclosed fee, (£5?), for NL Maidstone Utd.

One certain Jamie Reid now offered a real chance to be NL(S) top scorer this season . . . .

Come on Jamie !

Torquayunited v Billericay Town 3/11/18

I want to wish you Guys and the team ATB today. The away support last Tuesday was fantastic and when you get behind the team today again I'm sure they'll do better. Tuesday was 2 points dropped and let's hope for 3 today.

Gary Johnson has got the momentum going but it's still early days for this squad - it'll get better. And remember - it's only just November and there's a long way to go. Let's get on a roll. I'll be up until midnight to catch the score - wish I was there but it's 35C here every day atm.

Atmosphere

I think some drumming is great at Plainmoor, particularly for periods when the crowd gets a bit quiet

I watch Nakhon Ratchasima in the Thai Premier whenever I can (Swatcats) - the main stand holds about 10,000 and they used to have the drumming section almost in the middle ! Rather wild and crazy with the drums in Thailand :B I was relieved when the drum section was split in 2 and banished to the edge of the area - they were deafening and non-stop :S Tolerable now :)

Usually 3 or 4 drums and dancers too - a crowd of 20 or 30 in each group !

Impact of a Cup run

Teign - I'd hope that a Cup Run will help build confidence and in that way make the NLS games easier. No fears IMO. Let's go for it and use the opportunity to build a winning habit . . .

Phil - the Woking game is a chance to get it together again at the level in OUR league, and, if we can't do that - it's not going anywhere . . . just yet . . at least until the next NLS win ! Momentum is needed in this turnaround - go for it ! :goal:
