Chippenham v Torquay Tue 23rd

culmstockgull wrote: 24 Jan 2024, 18:29 Collins is a conundrum, I have seen him play some very good games, I have seen games when I wasn't sure he was ever on the pitch and many when he should not have been on the pitch, his bio shows him a left winger, not a wingback and not a central striker. how many of our games this season have players been played out of position becuase of an unbalanced squad. Johnson is incapable of modern thinking or tactics where football is concerned, I am sure he thinks that you are a pro footballer you can play anywhere, how many players have left us in the last few seasons who while under johnsons tutelage have been considerecd not up to scratch and have gone on to be very successful at others clubs with better coaching.
And here is the reason for GJ to go.

Southampton Gull wrote: 28 Oct 2023, 18:16 I didn't mention the players and I have no idea how much they're being paid, neither does anyone else on here. Dawson was a gamble most people were happy with until it became a weapon to beat GJ with.McGavin has shown some potential this season and others you mention would normally be replaced by loan players and become squad fillers but that isn't happening and it has everything to do with financial backing or the lack of it. Despite all the hysteria we're 2 points off the play offs.
Don’t worry by next Wednesday we will be more points away from the playoffs

Season tickets - in or out?

Cheddargull wrote: 04 May 2023, 23:05 I've have never purchased a season ticket in my life because my shift patterns mean I would miss at least 50% of games a season. I know some people do purchase season tickets even though they have no hope of attending every game but that is a luxury few can afford but compared to those people you probably think I'm a fairweather fan.
Yep It’s the same for me, I work different shifts and some times on a Saturday I find out that I can make the home game which in the years gone bye I could walk up to the gate and pay the same price but now I have to pay on line and more money. So I don’t Go

It was a lack of quality Players, Not Lady Luck. Or injuries, oR the Refs, it was players you brought in. Please Get players in for next season let us know on the signings as they happen not drip feed us and make it a stage show of the price was right. And that’s all we could afford.

Colorado wrote: 22 Apr 2023, 17:36 It seems from reviewing the posts that good players don’t want to come to the remote outpost of Torquay, preferring to stay up North or in London. I don’t see a fix to that. There’s a lot of smart people on this forum. I’m all ears as to how we fix that systemic problem

I’m heartbroken by todays result. How far we have fallen
.
Football in the local community needs to start up again, from primary schools to secondary schools and then on to park football, Torquay united are loosing so many talented players, and all’s we are left with are the kids from south Devon college that aren’t any good and no one wants but we all ways hear how great they are. Until the Finnish there course at the college.

Sorry but there goal was not a foul, you had a defender waiting for a shout from the keeper so half heartedly waiting for a punch from the keeper to come so not attacking the ball, and the keeper waiting for the ball and not attacking the ball, just punch the ball out, So yes the goal counts there player wanted it more than are two, simply.
