Appreciate your reply Jeff....but time to secure a striker is something we don`t have ! We are bottom of the league, points adrift and I think we should be panicking....only my opinion of course .Jeff wrote: ↑12 Jan 2018, 09:28 In their defence, it will take time to secure a striker. There will be a cascade effect - an L1 Club will sign a Championship player, which in turn shuffles out one of their reserves who signs for an L2 Club, who in turn creates an available player who we can sign.
I think it is still a bit early in the window - doesn’t sko our position but I’d rather they got the Recruitment right rather than panicking in the first couple of weeks

He thinks hes right all the time, but with what proof? If you are so 'in the know' Merse why are you not a football manager, owner?? Why has your son, who I imagine is a very talented footballer never made it at one of these numerous clubs your forever quoting?? Is it because his old man cant wind his neck in and interferes too much??
The problems this season are on the pitch!!! I am not a fan of CO or GI and I'm nervous about the unknown, unstated ambitions for the club/ground, but the league doesn't lie!! were bottom in the Vanarama Conference, BOTTOM!!! with 4 wins all season.
The players and staff are all being paid, the pitch has been invested in, the business side of the club looks from the outside that it is trying to be run correctly!!! let's face it, with the gates we get, the lack of TV money the money must be coming from somewhere every month??
The MANAGER has been given money to spend or loans, transfers as he wish!!!
The biggest problem at TQ1 is on the pitch!! they cant string a pass together, they cant score goals, they cant defends set pieces, there's no fight, passion, belief!!!! This all stems from the manager and his team!!! It is his job to deal with the football side of things, and it's obvious he's out of his depth and clueless of how to motivate men his primary role whilst the club is on the position it's in!!!
Its time for the management to team to jog on and get someone in that actually knows how to run a football team, not club but team of men!!!!!!!!
Top post goody.......Owers is out of his depth.....clueless......he is the manager, and he cannot manage them !!!! He is a dour unimaginative, boring
individual who has lost the entire dressing room.
His attempt in the loan market has not worked, so where are his contacts ????? can anybody on here enlighten me please 8-o

Totally agree get shot of the 2x useless cretins...... Give someone else a chance......If GO ticked all the boxes for the comedians who recruited him??? can you imagine the others that applied !!!!hector wrote: ↑06 Jan 2018, 18:11 The signings in the summer were indeed poor; the signings made by Owers have been even worse. The reason he has the job here was because the signings made in the summer were poor and caused his predecessor to get the sack. He was brought in to make things better. He hasn’t and has shown he is nothing more than a mediocre Conference South Manager, unable to arrest the slide and decline.
Even Nicholson, with less resources, managed to turn it around two years ago. This clown has shown no indication of being able to do so and may as well go. It doesn’t matter; it’s too late anyway, so there’s no chance we’re staying up with Owers in charge. May as well give someone else a go.
Needs a Martin Allen type character as has been said before......mmm I wonder what he is doing at the moment ? :ping:

The squad as it stands.....
Well summed up......an absolute total shamblestufcyellowarmy wrote: ↑03 Jan 2018, 15:43 I’m guessing that when the club suggests that some departures and arrivals are imminent in the New year we should assume one or two things .
Firstly that “imminent “ will involve an agonising 4 week wait with no news and disappointment on the end of it.
The second is that we should clarify in which new year . This one or next !!!!
