Players Under Contract

As it’s the scum from Eastleigh allegedly and they want him that bad the clubs clause should be
As he was part of the Marquis brigade and our only success from the Brigade you take McGavin, Marshall and Hanson as part of the deal .

Q&A with Gary and Downesy.

The 6 guys I stand with on the Popside have all not renewed our season tickets this season. So none of us can attend this nonsense evening. No doubt it will be the same old Bullshite from Johnson. The evening should have been at the end of last season, when supporters were far angrier when relegated. Not now in my opinion. Wishing all that can be bothered to attend an enjoyable evening and hope some realistic and pertinent questions are asked.
Starting with… is this where you expected us to be 5 years ago ? 🤔

Mr Tea808 wrote: 08 Jul 2023, 19:57 Not keen on all this talk about taking large number to Taunton, WSM, Plymouth Parkway etc etc, yet again I'll reiterate, we shouldn't be in this league, nor the one above it, we were a solid 4th tier club, to some fans maybe they buzz off being a big fish in a goldfish bowl, beating part timers I don't want to see fist pumping, flares going off, phony hype, us taking the piss out of set ups smaller than ours...I want to respect the league, the opposition, be fully focused, go about our business in a decent way, GJ has a major habit of pissing people off with his antics, he isn't popular at all, let's just see what the season brings, but sadly, something tells me we've found our level, 6th tier regional football.

Admiral wrote: 06 Jul 2023, 06:13 And still no apology or acknowledgment of his failure from GJ!
When we clearly have an owner that does not give a shite, then why should Johnson I guess. Johnson is bullet proof with CO and his sidekick
the fool that is meant to understand football.
This season is not going to be the breeze that some people think.
It remains toxic, with a huge number against Johnson as many feel a change was needed long ago.
But this is where we are, relying on his Dads Army brigade and fortunately a proven goalscorer in Ash at this woeful level of football.
Mark Halstead admitted they let a lot of people down last season, and fair play to him for being honest.

Lastly the PSF are hardly inspiring, but maybe the Wyscout subscription has expired with the budget blown

"yeah, it's a shit league, and it's embarassing that we have to go to places that sound made up like Chippenham and Farnborough"?

If he'd said that, people would get really upset.
What would I like him to say ?
Well an apology for last season would be a start.
Be accountable for his responsibilities in taking our famous club back to this level.
His interviews are a total embarrassment, he should have been history after Yeovil away last season my opinion.
An embarrassing interview then and critical of support on the day. Maybe some have forgot. I certainly haven’t, it’s a constant joke the bull that disperses from his lips.

So, playing the likes of Truro is 'always good' ... no it f&*king isn't!
Normal GJ bullshite, exciting ? 🤔
Well Dover away, does not excite me whatsoever.
Shows how far we have fallen when you see the names we are facing. 5 year plan and back to square one with the same old

culmstockgull wrote: 04 Jul 2023, 12:23 Good acquisition by Yeovil who I suggest offered more salary than we were were prepared to pay supported by the fact that Johnson said he has already blown the budget. For me and my sanity we now need two good experienced central defenders to support Moxey.
Marshall, donnellan and Tomlinson would be eaten alive by the Yeovil front line and I am not even thinking about other teams.
Agreed the thought of Yeovil away on the opening day is rather worrying if we are unprepared without one decent centre back 🤔

At least it has taken the views on our naff yellow shirt away.
Lots coming in at YTFC, Nouble hardly prolific but rather he was here like most. We need a decent strong centre back maybe 2. Johnson possible ploy to find another Nico Lawrence with the PSF v under 21 behind closed doors nonsense is worrying.
More so if we face the Yeovil strike force with calamity Marshall in defence.
Final thought we could have possibly got Nouble had we not given the marquis brigade the contracts they are on.
Who is responsible for that I wonder 🤔

Surely Losers would be far more appropriate, amazed he is anywhere near tbh. See out the contract I guess, cannot say I blame him, perhaps he will suprise us and end up in the Champions League :)

I don't care much for cooking demonstrations either.
I just watch the gulls.
Despite being a fan for many years, I can't get too animated if we have a poor season, cos I'll watch them the following season regardless.

Rather than moaning, I'm looking forward to the new season...
It’s not moaning
It is people being honest of there experience and opinions.
Of which we are all entitled to

:goodpost: absolutely spot on Dave

Sadly they are miles ahead of us in every aspect.
And now 3 divisions higher which is mighty hard to take 🤬

Dave wrote: 01 Jul 2023, 14:49 Well, when I referred to my friend withdrawing his player sponsorship, thought that might give a clue, other personal reasons are not for me to say, maybe the fact that a fan since the 1970s is feeling that way should be alarming in its self.

Christ do you have put me through the pain of posting you a list, information these days, is sent straight to us, unsolicited on social media.

They have regular live streamed fans forum from SJP, we have an owner who doesn't do statements, we have local board of which one will blank you, if you dare ask a vaguely critical question, the other will be rude, see it in person.

They have party in the park, free event to all, with music, supported by Crealy on a Sunday , we'll have a season ticket holder event only during the week where most can't attend.

They have a fan zone at the ground, we have cashless turnstiles, but hey can pay a £2 surcharge on match days if you que up by the swimming pool.

Their social media is full of content such as life's a pitch, cooking demonstrations, ours is contains well gaffer if we hadn't given away that penalty, we might have got point today.

Their squad did a park run, sure ours were doing
something.

Their doing stadium tours, we're doing? I don't know.

They did a kit out cliff campaign, to help raise money for state art training equipment, we're doing? I don't know.

Their winning new fans, we're doing? I don't know

Much as I can't stand that club, their getting everything right, now light years ahead of us.

While little or no information comes out of our club, little or no fan engagement, and half our fanbase have closed eyes. Never mind, we've already won the league, so all will be OK.

Our club has the opportunity to generate some income and the home kit design fails miserably in most people’s opinions.
Another massive own goal from our club.
However what amazes me is that there is more outcry on the shirt design than when the club announced that Johnson was at the helm again after getting us relegated 🤔
