Season tickets - in or out?

No chance! After 60+ years of supporting TUFC I will not commit any more to this rotten regime from ownership to piss poor management which has taken us back once again to regional football.
Better and more important things to do with my money than to throw it blindly into an organisation that supports abject failure.

Players Under Contract

Mr Tea808 wrote: 01 May 2023, 11:24 That Plymouth game and Mark having a complete 'mare feels like ages ago now, he never really recovered or got his place back after getting injured, but I always had a hunch he'd come good, and this season he has been superb, like all keepers-even the greats, they can all have the odd blip, but in the main, he's been a solid 8.5/10 most weeks, and I genuinely believe that, I thought he'd get a club up north, but if it's Aldershot, good luck to him.I also think our current number 2 isn't that bad, and should be given the shirt pre season....it will be Interesting to see who stays and go's, I think a lot will remain, with a view that they're open to leave if they want to....I don't want to sound hsrsh or blunt, but surely most fans can see it needs a complete freshen up...
Thought it was Lapslie to Aldershot not Halstead.

TUFC Annual Accounts

exilegull wrote: 04 Apr 2023, 11:31 I wouldn't worry too much about that - these comments are for the going concern basis of the company and it only needs to look forward 12 months from the date of approval of the financial statement which is the exact period outline. There is no need to commit to anything longer in these financial statements.
Wouldn’t worry about it?
The whole Osborne led regime is a worry. The club is a complete mess and if we get relegated we will go part time and that will be the end of TUFC as we know it

Scunthorpe United v Torquay United, 3pm, Saturday 1st April, 2023

Enzo wrote: 01 Apr 2023, 20:35 Alas, this is likely to just prolong the agony, but if we had this starting eleven for 5 additional games, I think we would be fine. Thought we deserved it today. Particularly for the first 35 minutes of the second half. Should have scored a couple more. Collins took his goal well. Scunthorpe were dreadful mind. Whatever happens, that will be our last trip to Glandford Park for a while.

I have been impressed with Nouble’s application and contribution. Even half fit and lacking sharpness he has added something that we have lacked along side Jarvis. Strong hold up play, decent touch and brings others into play. Clearly has a bit of know how and a presence.

Dawson has also been a good addition - If he is available for next year, I’d keep him.

This is probably more a reflection of the level we are playing at, but in my 40 years of supporting I am not sure I have seen a loanee player so clearly in such a different class to our and opposition players than Nico Lawrence. I hope he goes on with his development as he has been superb. Maybe Jason Roberts in 98, but we had much better players to play alongside him with the likes of Rodney Jack. Simon Milton maybe in the 80s maybe?

New Signing - Frank Nouble

Can’t quite understand the excitement over this signing.
Is he match fit? Unlikely
Has he been playing and scoring regularly? No
Has he ever been a prolific scorer? No
Nevertheless I hope he shines for us and I wish him all the best when he pulls on a yellow shirt.

Aaron Jarvis, England C

Spot on Wolborough. Don’t think Osborne has bankrolled us, lent money from his other interests more like, and when it’s right for him he’ll call them in.
We are in a very sorry state from top to bottom and I’m afraid there is more to come. It will surely end in tears.

Will we stay up?

It is in our hands. It’s been in our hands all season but we have failed time and time again. Our only ‘winning run’ has, I think, been two games. Not much chance of winning 5 or 6 now in my opinion.

THE BUDGET

It’s an issue that the National League should be looking at for all its members but there’s not much chance of that.

Solihull Moors v Torquay United - 7th March

When we were top of the league and Danny Wright got injured we didn’t bother to replace him, so why break the habits of a lifetime now?

But if it was Sammy, the keeper would have been picking the ball out of the net 😁
