Talking of gnats.....the discussion was around the EFL cup and City v Luton not their game last week against Reading.Southampton Gull wrote: ↑28 Sep 2023, 21:57 The real one. You obviously didn't look at the video and are now quoting the figures from an entirely different game. Attention span of a gnat, that's your problem.....
Do keep up......

7,300+ pretty meaningless? What world do you and your 'Exeter supporting friends ' live in ?Southampton Gull wrote: ↑28 Sep 2023, 18:31 Look at the terraces, looks pretty meaningless to me. Exeter supporting friends of mine call it meaningless due to the involvement of U21 teams. Our involvement in the Devon Bowl is meaningless because our only goal this season is promotion, that is unless you're still crying over our Manager keeping his job.............
My Exeter supporting friends are thrilled with their progress in the EFL Cup and their position in League 1, and quite rightly so. TUFC meanwhile under Johnson's stewardship languish a million miles away in the NLS. Which would you rather have?

But it does matter doesn’t it.
It’s indicative of where we are as a club. We have an owner who has no interest in football whatsoever, a management team who are unprofessional, sloppy and have
taken us to the depths of the NLS, and a squad of players who, overall, are a disgrace.
Failing to beat Ivybridge says it all and sums up exactly where we are and where we are heading

Looking forward to Southampton Gull or Teddibear explains why we should continue to put our faith in Johnson.
Might have to wait until they extract their heads from the sand that they are deeply buried in.

Proper footballers from a time when we were a proper football club. How we could do with a Dennis Penford or Colin Bettany in our defence right now.portugull wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 10:40 I just found my old autograph book and the first 2 pages contained the autographs of 6 Torquay United players from the 1950's.
Eric Webber Dennis Penford Mervyn Gill Eddie Marsh Colin Bettany Geoff Cox. I guess a few of us remember these players from a very different era when Plainmoor was packed.
The most famous names in my old book are all Cricketers from the days when Torquay Cricket Club would host Festival Week in September.
Ken Barrington Fred Titmus Jim Parks Gary Sobers Ray Illingworth Brian Close to name but a few.
Some pretty special cricketers listed there as well.
Thanks for the memories

Not finished with Johnson. He is responsible for the shit show on the pitch and Edwards for the shambles we are off it but you think everything in the garden is rosy don't you. Well, if the current standards are acceptable to you then that's for you to decide but I and many others live in a different world.teddiebear wrote: ↑17 Aug 2023, 14:59 Its catching!! Not sure why loan signings are thought to be the answer.
What club in their right mind is going to want to loan us any half decent player and even if they did why would that player want to come to this basket case of a club. It’s not likely to enhance the career of a promising youngster - and that’s not what we are looking for anyway- and we’ve got plenty of worn out old pros of our own already.
We’re in this mess because of Johnson’s abysmal recruitment over the last two years and despite what some of his supporters say his legacy, when he does eventually leave, will be written large on the back of a postage stamp.

Our management team are ex pros and have coaching badges - a fat lot of good that's doing us.Skillsy wrote: ↑13 Aug 2023, 12:45 I agree, several players not good enough. Poor decisions to offer them good contracts.
I am serious, and hope it turns round quickly. Need to remember we are two games in, forty four left. Far too early to panic.
Didn't want to mention this but I now feel compelled, I'm an ex-pro who now holds coaching badges so I think I have a reasonable understanding of how teams work. Happy to accept a change is needed if this doesn't turn round in a few games, but at the moment we should all get behind the club.
As I said, I'll be there on Tuesday and will be right behind the lads. I hope everybody follows suit........
I've got a first aid certificate but it doesn't make me a doctor.
It's not critisim after two games, the decline has been over two years. We are at an all time low and still falling.
Enjoy the game on Tuesday

It'd be interesting to hear your justification of your belief that Johnson is the man and that we are heading for promotion.Skillsy wrote: ↑13 Aug 2023, 02:29 Two poor performances, agreed. But so easy to pick fault and it worries me how eager people seem to be to be to criticise. I firmly believe Johnson is the man, and at the end of the season we will go up.
Mr Johnson, if you read this then please ignore all the nonsense. A resounding win on Tuesday and it will all go quiet, such is the fickle nature of football fans. If we are nowhere at Christmas it may well be the time to go, but until then please keep the faith.

You don't get a fourth official at NLS level.culmstockgull wrote: ↑12 Aug 2023, 21:37 We didnt even get a fourth official today, what chance people to collect the balls.
