I have always kept quiet on this subject but I do feel that enough is enough now. The board have, to a certain degree, backed him to bring in some experienced players and nothing changes.
He may make a good 1st team coach one day but he is not a manager. The club is crying out for stability both on and off the pitch and, sadly, he cannot provide this.
Some of us have have jobs where you have to work within a budget and, if you can't do the job within that budget you don't do that job anymore!!
Unlikely, but I hope his now inevitable departure is handled with dignity. He deserves that for his efforts at least.

No need to apologise Chris. You feel free to post, most people are happy with copious amounts of Barrow/Ray postings.
I'm done.

And Barrow Fan Chris's favourite player is Rory Fallon!! Jesus Christ am I the only one seeing a blatant P*@s take of our forum or am I going mad???
Barrow Fans - if you are genuine, which i doubt you are, there is a section on the The Plopside called Rivals banter. Why don't you try there? You may find more people who wish to engage with you and leave the "All things Plainmoor" as purely a Torquay Forum.
Peace

Another new thread and again we are talking about Ray or Barrow.......Personally I do mind Ray's posts.Irritating, irrelevant, boring and every thread hijacked.
He has got me talking about him again- he is good at what he does, I'll give him that.

Brucie V Dave - This time its personal!! ;)
Lucy, the change of title of this thread was suggested - by me - as the "Exeter Play-Off" title was both irritating and irrelevant to where the topic headed. At the moment of the suggestion Dave and Brucie were in the midst of an "Alas Smith and Jones" debate so it seemed more relevant than "Exeter Play Off".
The suggestion was not that their debate had become personal.
I'll get my coat.

Any chance this thread can be renamed or something. It still makes my teeth itch and it has gone way off topic!

While I appreciate the support from all our Devon neighbours and wish all Devon clubs well, am I the only person that, even the title of this thread, makes ones teeth itch.

I see the Herald have done an article on the petition and posted a link. Maybe they have realised they will have no circulation after this debacle....

I think what league we are in will be irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, although staying up is of course important. Going down will aid the argument for going part time etc but league clubs have found themselves in this position too
I do have to say though i think the combined efforts of the forum and supporters is a positive thing and shows passion for something which has played a huge part in all our lives.
The negativity has originated elsewhere.....

Guys,
I have been a supporter for 35 years and still get to games when I can, which isn't easy!
Anyway I like many have been stirred by recent events and have been spreading the word regarding the clubs situation on Twitter.
In particular i have been sending messages to Jim White and Bob Mills at talk sport.
I have just heard Bob Mills say that Torquay will be discussed on the show next Friday between 10 and 1. Not sure how much it will help or what will be said but there is no such thing as bad publicity.....
