Can't see Truro doing that portugull, they were heading for their 5th straight away win until that late blip at Enfield.
Impossible to predict, we just have to try and win every game but 5 wins out of 6 wins it for us I think

Expecting another very tough match , Bath have only conceded 1goal in their last 5 and their only defeat the one before that to a late goal at Worthing
It's time for us to step up a level at home

Great result - just makes all the squandered points recently all the more galling.
With 3 of the next 4 at home and Aveley away we could go into Easter in a great position IF we can get our home form going - 100 percent aggression and front foot football from minute one.

Fair enough Portugull but not losing doesn't get you promoted. We are simply not getting enough from our midfield and attack, we hardly create any clear chances or test the keeper enough. Even the Salisbury manager said despite our possession in the last 20 minutes after we equalised his keeper hardly had a
shot to save just a few crosses to catch. Absolutely criminal, I was expecting a relentless seige on their goal but it didn't happen, we need more anticipation guts and belief to get on the end of things.

Another desperately disappointing home performance,
let's face it how many convincing displays have we seen this season, the games we've won we have been hanging on under constant pressure
We still look like a team of strangers, there is no pace and fluidity in our build up play, we stop mid move thinking where is the next pass, then we tap it square or back and if nothing on go long, it shouldn't be like that ! The opposing teams all seem to know instinctively what they are doing whilst we are so ponderous and predictable .Be better if we didn't have to go through the pain of the playoffs, this team is nowhere near good enough to get promoted. We need the pace, energy, sharpness fluidity, movement and understanding other teams all seem to have. I'm beginning to lose patience. Things need to change next season

standupsitdown wrote: 10 Mar 2025, 08:33 If the current points per game continues to the end of the season for our rivals we would need 91 points to win the league.
24 points from 9 games.
Five home wins - all games we should win
Win at Dorking or Truro and Aveley & Hemel.
Thank would be the 24 points.
Possible but allows only one slip up.
To finish second with two home play off games to go up, I'd estimate we'd need seven wins.
When you put it like that it's a very tall order to win it now. Anything less than a Worthing win at Aveley tonight would be a major shock then even 4 wins and a couple of draws from their last 9 gives them 88
so we would need 7 wins out of 9 !
I think we would need to win tomorrow and at Dorking to remain in with a chance.
Just have to try and get that second place

Yes Cooke was rather lacklustre when he came on and how he managed to put it wide of the post from a yard out with the goalkeeper on the ground I don't know.
Good job it wasn't costly.
A real scruffy, scrappy win but bit better second half
The manager was coming over loud and clear on the stream, must have shouted "get up" at least 50 times
still, about the same as every game I guess.

We can't go on playing like this at home, I thought BW were the better team in the first half and we scored two against the run of play, second half was the usual desperately hanging on under relentless pressure.
This is not how Wottons Truro team played
Boreham Wood were the better team by miles and deserved to win let alone draw.
All the usual things, stronger, sharper, more physical,
quicker to second balls.
We battle and defend well until the pressure tells in the last 10 minutes buts that's all, we simply cannot keep possession of the ball, relieve that pressure and cause any sort of threat in attack.

Agree, ridiculous post. He's not the best we've ever had but far from the worst. Without him our losses column would be a lot higher.
His claiming of crosses could be better but not even sure I agree that was his to claim last night. Difficult when there's a lot of the bodies in there and we seemed to have 3 defenders who tried to deal with it and failed
