How many games have torquay conceded 90 mins+ in the past 10 years?! It's our speciality!
How did the new guys get on?

Kevin Millard IS back in the Bay!
He is responsible for bringing 2 club legends to Torquay - Rodney Jack and Gregory Goodridgedrummergull90 wrote: ↑02 Sep 2017, 11:45 Neither myself or my Dad (who's supported us for 50 years!) have ever heard of this chap. Can you please fill us in about who he is and why we care so much please?

Torquay v Chester. 2/9/17 Match day thread
I was at the horses several years back and the weather turned awfully...hideous rain, thunder and lightning and dark skies.
I thought "any horse could win this" so chucked a couple of £ on the 125:1 horse and despite all the odds the darn thing won!
I feel the same about this game...the conditions in terms of the team are terrible with so many injuries, we don't have a manager and we are on a terrible losing streak.
Something tells me that the team will nick a victory despite the odds.
C'mon lads!

I've been saying for years that we should go back to Lambada to see if the next Rodney Jack is in waiting!
Now with his experience at Boca we can get the next Lionel Messi!

Giggs could probably strap his boots back on still kill it in the NL though...! What he does not know about the NL, he makes up for in direct exposure to one of the best football managers of all time.
Leadership cares not of rank, it's the ability to transform a vision into a reality through people...
We need someone who can inspire transformation
I do concede that even if those were the names on offer, I'd still probably take an experienced manager right now - my money is on Money!
Finally - re: conversation with the club...sounds like a classic case of decision fear!

James Gray to start?
Granted the caliber of opposition during pre-season was not great, but James Gray was the stand out finisher during pre-season with a bunch of decent goals.
Surely his cracker against Woking will put him in line for a place in the starting line up?
I'm not sure why we like to keep our best finishers on the bench...
I'm sure Brett Williams would have bagged a bunch more last season given the chance.
Thoughts?

Now that I know Micky Adams is not in the hat - I have to say I would be pleased to see Richard Money at the helm.
Even if the ex-premier player is high calibre I believe that it is proven managerial experience that we need right now. Taking a gamble on a former premier league player could swing either way but it perhaps it is too risky for what the club needs right now?
...unless of course the mystery man happens to be Ryan Giggs or Alan Shearer, in which case I eat my words!!

Good on him! I really liked his video about his ambition to become a full time pro. I think it's a great idea to document the journey to inspire others - it demonstrates his hunger and this is something to be applauded.
I hope he documents the journey at Torquay and the supporters help him by sharing what he creates

I can reliably confirm that Micky Adams has not applied for the position, nor has he been contacted by the club.
Who does this actually leave on the supposed shortlist?

To be fair the Podcast provides a reasonable amount of information and the information DT provides on the show is probably closer to the pulse than any other source, plus the current management at TUFC are like a closed book when it comes to giving anything away - it really is shocking! I don't know if it's down to an inexperienced leadership team when it comes to football or whether information is being deliberately withheld but either way it is not acceptable!
