Torquay United v Gloucester City - 29th Dec
Crowd given as 3071. Didn't think there were quite that many myself but another great effort by the yellow army nonetheless.

Seating issues
I experienced the same issue as view 1 at the North Ferriby game 2 season's ago. We can debate this as much as you like. It doesn't really matter what system is in place as long as it is consistent. But, change can only come from the club. The only way they will listen is if others make similar complaints.

I can clear this issue up Culmstock gull as I entered via the side entrance by the food kiosk. There was a large que at the turnstile and the stewards wanted to clear it quickly. They asked those with season tickets to present their cards and then we were let in via the side gate to save time. It wasnt the case that we knew the steward.culmstockgull wrote: ↑26 Dec 2018, 18:54 Agree with the sentiments expressed, unfortunately due to our progressive downhill spiral over the last few seasons we are no longer able to cope with by our standards, a large crowd, I saw people being searched three times at the family stand entrance by differing stewards whilst others who had bags were totally ignored, look at the queues trying to get a pint before halftime in boots and laces, I saw groups of people being let in by the gate at the food outlet to the side of the family stand, the only criteria for such access seemed to be they knew the steward in the red jacket, they certainly did not have tickets and they certainly did not pay. Hopefully the management will learn from this but I will not hold my breath.

MOTM - Welling
I know the game is all about opinions which makes it so great. But Keating; seriously? He constantly lost the ball and his touch was often heavy. He worked hard again, granted. But we need more quality from him. I honestly can't see how he would be in top 5? Maybe I'm being harsh on him but for me he is a very average conference south player.

Really enjoyed the game despite the atrocious weather. We're now playing with so much confidence we surely won't fear any team in this league.
I just wanted to pay tribute to Cameron. I thought he was excellent again. Very composed. Is there a better defender than him in Conference South?

I think that's why Olaf didnt feature against St Albans because he played a full game away to Maidenhead the night before and got back late.

Torquayunited v Woking Fa Cup 1st round 10/11/18
Disappointing that we failed to take any of our chances. Thought it was a decent game and we certainly are improving. Great to see Olaf get on, perhaps he should have come on sooner instead of Williams. He looks strong.
Unfortunately Gerring showed what an idiot he is. Certainly no.need to react how he did at the final whistle.

Keating is playing one level above his ability. He won't get goals consistently and has had enough chances now.
He puts in the effort, hufs and puffs but no end product.
A loan spell might give him more confidence but I don't think he is quite up to it unfortunately.

Impact of a Cup run
Strongest team in the FA Cup for me. I realise that promotion has to be the main priority. But, we have got a bloody good chance of progressing and then a potential payday. That might just fund the signings after Xmas to get us back in the National league.

There are a few out on loan which might free up a little of the budget. Although Keating does give his all (can't knock him for that) but, he is nowhere near good enough. He has had too many chances now. He missed 2 sitters yesterday. Scoring just one of those would have put us out of sight. For me, he should be the first.
Williams - looks so off the pace and is still lazy. I don't think GJ fancies him.
So maybe, a new striker?

Fair enough Nickboard, it is all about opinions. You had a different view than me. I was in line wit the incident from the side.
Some are arguing that Reid didn't claim a penalty and so shouldn't be booked. Of course that has nothing to do with it.

Don't agree on your judgment of the Reid booking. It was a very bad touch and he lost the ball. I thought he did dive.nickbrod wrote: ↑03 Nov 2018, 20:39 The ref booking Reid early on for 'diving simulation' was a joke as it was clearly a Torquay corner. From that incident onwards you knew the ref was not up to the required standard.
I watched Billericay at Taunton recently for their FA Cup replay and their keeper, Julian, was time wasting from minute one. At that game he got booked late on but by then , as today, it was too late.
